Chapter 5

*Kirthi Pov*

I groaned hearing my ringtone and moved only to fall on my back because of some external force. Somehow I managed to move only to realize my neck is paining with all the sleeping being done by staying in the same position.

"Don't you have your own home? Why do you come here every day?" I asked, rubbing my neck.

"After some time I will be going there only and then I will think of that answer. But now just let me sleep." His reply reached a little muffled because of the pillow he pressed his face to and I just shook my head as I was not expecting any answer.

"Fine!" I mumbled and tried to get down, but he held my hand stopping me.

"Didn't I tell you that you need to let me sleep?" he asked and I gave his closed eyes a confused look.

"And I was leaving you to your sleep." I replied and he sighed before pulling me back towards him.

"That I can do even in my home." Saying that he enclosed me and again slept off while I just lay there staring at his face.

All my thoughts rushed out when my phone rang again. Somehow, I was able to take it from the bedside table and lifted it.

"Ms. Kirthi! It's done!" Hearing those words as a response to my greeting made me stiffen, but I finally relaxed understanding the meaning behind them.

"Fine!" I mumbled and hung up before staring at the phone with a relief I dreamed about.

"What is the good news?" a voice penetrated my thoughts and I looked away from the phone to see his eyes staring back at me.

"I thought you said you will sleep." I replied, placing the device away, but he just yawned and covered my cheek with his palm.

"I felt I should open my eyes and it's a good thing I did because I would have missed this." He said caressing the cheek.

"What?" I asked, not understanding his words.

"You are practically glowing and I would like to know the reason." He stated making me frown but I just removed his hand before getting down from the bed.

I walked to the wardrobe and started searching for the dress to wear before saying, "I have to go to work and you also if you work on weekends."

"Yes! I do, but not on Saturday's and Sunday is holiday completely which you should have known by now with me being here for more than two weeks." He replied but in an accusing tone.

"You will be early today?" I asked, taking out the dress and walked back to the bed to place it on.

When I didn't hear any reply, I looked up to see him staring at the door with a frown but finally replied, "No! I have a meeting today evening. I will not come today at all."

"Okay!" I said and walked into the washroom before getting ready and when I walked out he already left the room.

"Wow!" Anusha mumbled when I walked to the kitchen.

"What?" I asked her smiling.

"Well, when I saw my brother's irritated expression, I thought you both had a fight, but you look happy." She replied with a confused expression.

"Leave all that! Today we are going to celebrate." I said, smiling at her.

"For what?" she asked, smiling back.

"You recovered completely and even I got one of my dreams fulfilled." I replied, shrugging and she nodded without questioning more understanding that I don't want to explain what it actually is.

I left for work after we planned to celebrate at home itself and I will get the food while she will get some movies from the nearest store.

"This is nice!" she said, leaning back with a relaxed expression.

"Yes! And your brother missed it." I said, smiling and she nodded before suddenly taking out the cordless phone.

"Let's make him know what he is missing." She said laughing and dialed his number.

"Hello! Guess what?" she asked and immediately her face fell before she gave me a glance, making me frown.

Suddenly she hung up and dumped the phone beside her and I waited for her to say without asking any details.

"I didn't expect him to be this stupid. Actually, I was hoping he would not be." She mumbled to herself and suddenly looked at me.

"You need to break up with my brother." She stated and I frowned at her asking, "What?"

"You don't understand! At present, he is out there on a date with some girl. You need to break the relationship." She pleaded.

"What relationship?" I asked her back and she sat stunned before blinking.

"My brother and you..." she trailed off.

"We don't have any relationship. And what is wrong with him going on a date? He is also celebrating then. Now, do you want to watch the next movie?" I asked smiling at her.

After the movie finished half, she suddenly paused the movie and held my hand, making me turn towards her.

"It's okay to show hurt, Kirthi." She whispered.

"Why would I be hurt? I never lie and you know that, Anusha. We don't have anything between us that makes it wrong for him to go on a date. I would have also gone if I found a date and also if I got the time, but this is a busy time for us." I said shrugging and she just stared at me while I yawned.

"Okay! I am done for today. I will go and sleep." Saying that I stood up with the waste dishes and dumped them in the kitchen before leaving for my room.

Finally, tomorrow I will not wake up with neck pain! I smiled to myself and drifted off into sleep.

*Ansh Pov*

I am going to kill them! I decided looking around while the person before me is smiling or at least trying to with the way a pout comes in the way.

When my phone suddenly rang, I felt like I got a blessing, but she suddenly took it with an annoying look.

"These people don't know that you need some rest from work." Saying that she lifted the call.

"I don't want to guess anything and whoever you are, just understand he needs his rest and privacy mainly when he is on a special date with a special lady." Saying that she hung up while I was deciding whether it would be fine to throw the hot soup over her.

"Who told you to touch my phone? And how can you talk to my caller like that?" I barked and took my phone back and saw the number only to realize something bad just happened.

It is her home number and with this woman's word ringing in my ears, I can so imagine what she must be thinking. I realized just today morning that she doesn't care much about our relationship and now this.

I just asked for the bill, ignoring the protest, and left the place in a hurry thinking about a door being closed on face scenarios.

It will be fine! I thought and entered the house slowly and stopped near the door hearing the conversation before stepping out.

What relationship? I am going to kill her for sure. If time permits, she will also go for a date? Let her try and see what I will do.

"I can't believe her." I stated entering the house when she left for sleeping.

"I can't believe you. Going on a date? Seriously?" Anu shouted.

"Wait! This is all our parent's fault. They called me there saying I need to have dinner there and I just went and got stuck with that woman." I explained and she finally calmed down realizing our parent's ever-natural plots to which even she got affected before.

"You said you will not come today?" she asked eating something.

"I am hungry!" I replied and sat beside her before eating whatever I found.

"Your non-relationship partner gave this treat." She said smirking and I glared at her.

"Stop! I will kill her when I get a chance. No relationship? What was I doing all these days then?" I asked shaking my head.

"How would I know?" she asked laughing.

"So, what is this treat for?" I asked, looking at the movie.

"Don't know!" she said, shrugging and I sighed shaking my head.

"I am thinking of coming out of this hiding." She suddenly stated.

"Why?" I asked after letting the shock pass.

"I didn't do any mistake, right? Why am I hiding?" she asked more to herself than me.

"I am proud of you!" I whispered, giving her a side hug.

"I would have much preferred to hide all my life, but something is there in her that just made me realize what I am doing is wrong." She said and I smiled at her words.

"She is a gem okay, even though different, but different kind of gem. Please do not hurt her." She added while I fell silent and we both finished the movie.

"Not staying?" she asked when I walked towards the main door.

"No! Let her realize what is all this and she will when I stay away for a few days making her miss me." I replied shrugging.

"Punishment? But for whom?" she asked, raising her eyebrow to which I rolled my eyes and left the place.

For me! I decided as an answer to Anu's question after two days when I am still working in the office, even though it is way past my leaving time.

I think I should change my flat as it looks too bland now. Maybe some change in the area also would be better.

"Dammit!" I mumbled switching off the system and left the office and reached her place before just sitting in the car contemplating whether to leave or go inside.

Slamming the steering once, I got out of the car and walked to the door before knocking on it which was opened after a minute by my sister who has this smirk covering her face.

"Shut up!" I warned her and walked inside ignoring her laugh.

"I didn't say anything." Her words were left behind while I didn't stop walking until I reached her room door.

I knocked first but didn't get any response and so opening it slowly, I entered and closed the door behind.

Why? Why this woman? I asked, looking up when I saw her sleeping soundly. I shook my head and got ready for bed before getting under the duvet.

She made a sound when I pulled her slowly to me but settled calmly. I stared at her face for a few seconds after which a frown appeared on her forehead.

"My poor neck!" that's what she whispered before opening her eyes.

"What is it?" she asked, trying to push her hair away from her eyes, but I helped her with it while thinking what should I answer for that question.

"We have a relationship, Kirthi." I stated and she frowned.

"How?" she asked and this time I frowned at her.

"What do you mean by how?" I asked back.

"You just wanted us to have some sex and nothing more than that. We didn't do anything like that as far as I know. So, from where do we have a relationship?" she explained.

"You are that eager?" I asked her smirking and she just rolled her eyes.

"I don't know how or why or what or anything but we have a relationship." I stated and she just looked at me.

"Fine!" she said, nodding.

"Fine? That's all you can say?" I asked her raising my eyebrow.

"What else? I should kiss you or what?" she asked yawning.

"Why don't you?" I challenged her and she stopped in the middle of yawning with her eyes locked to mine.

"Okay!" she whispered and slowly moved her hand to place it on my cheek before caressing it which can be counted as her first touch on her own without me instigating it.

And then she pulled my head down a little before pressing her lips to mine. I let her do it on her own for a few seconds before taking over it.

"Now, did you miss this at least?" I asked when we broke apart for breathing purposes.

"Okay!" her reply made me narrow my eyes and gave another long kiss before leaning back with her in my arms to sleep.

"Now, what was the good news on Saturday?" I asked, not able to stop the curiosity.

"Now, I can marry whenever I want to without the main hurdle." Her reply made me laugh at the joke and hug her tighter.

"Okay! Tell me the good news when you want to." Saying that I drifted off into sleep finally with a relaxed mind.
