Against The All Odds

Ciel's eyes were wide open, and his mouth was agape as he stared at the person next to him, who was sound asleep without even a single cloth on his body.

Ciel blinked a couple of times, rubbed his eyes, and even pinched his cheeks, wanting to be sure that what he was seeing was real and not just a dream. And when he felt a sting on his cheeks, that's when he knew that what he was seeing was not just a dream or an imagination of his, but a reality—which he does not want to believe.

Ciel felt the blood drain from him as he continued to stare at the person next to him who was none other than the person he disliked the most—Maverick Garcia.

“What happened? Why are we together like this? Why is Maverick with me?”

From Maverick, Ciel's eyes went to his own body. He examined his body, and his eyes widened even more upon seeing lots of kisses and bite marks on his body.

His chests, most especially his nipples, were red and swollen as if an insect sucked and bit on them. There are also a couple of hand marks on his hands, waist, legs, and thighs.

Ciel tried to remember what happened and what he did. He dug up his memories, which instantly filled him in with what happened between him and Maverick.

It was Andrew, his alpha classmate's birthday, and he got invited on.

Ciel was hesitant to come, but because Raffy, his beta classmate, and his closest friend haven't stopped annoying him to accompany him, he agreed to come with him to shut him up. And for some mysterious reason, Andrew, the birthday celebrant, who he has never interacted with and who seemed to not give a shit about him, suddenly invited him as well and bugged him to come to his birthday party. 

Ciel's plan was to only stay for at least an hour since Raffy was the only reason why he attended the party anyway, and he also doesn't want to be in a place full of alphas. But a lot of things happened at the party such as having a conversational fight with Maverick to Andrew using Raffy to hold him back from leaving the party. And then somehow, he ended up getting dragged around and kept getting fed by people he had never talked to before.

Those people, who Ciel guessed were Andrew’s friends were all talking and were trying to have a conversation with him, which he, again, finds odd and irritating. But since he doesn't want trouble with a pack of alphas surrounding him, and because he wanted to get away from them as soon as possible, he tries to answer their every question with only minimal words, which other people would find boring. The drinks they gave him seemed to not end as well until he started to get drunk and lose consciousness. And when he woke up, he had already found himself lying in an unfamiliar bed with Maverick doing something he couldn’t remember anymore. And for unexplainable reasons, he suddenly went into heat, which has never happened before. His scent started to fill the whole room, and worst of all, he seduced Maverick. And Maverick, being a dominant alpha, was not able to resist him and his scent, and pounced on him. 

Ciel couldn't remember much of what happened after that. But he was sure that he and Maverick went on for the whole night considering that he was on heat when they did it. 

Ciel sighed and mumbled, “This is on me. This is what I get for getting swayed by Raffy and that bastard Andrew, and for not taking preemptive measures.” Ciel returned his look to Maverick, who was still fast asleep. “Fuck. I should be the one sleeping peacefully after everything this bastard did to me.”

Ciel slowly stood up. He winces every time he tries to move. His legs are shaking, and his back is aching. But despite the pain, Ciel was still able to pull his clothes off the floor and wear his underwear and pants. But just as he was about to wear his shirt, he suddenly felt a pain in his neck.

Ciel reached for his nape, and his heart went into a frenzy when he felt something on it.

He can't see his nape, but he already knew what it was that he was touching. 

He slowly turned to Maverick as his eyes widened again.

And in a tone filled with so much shock and disbelief, Ciel said, “A mark... This motherfucker... This motherfucker marked me…”
