"Didn’t I already tell you? Get the food from that place we used to order from!"

Christopher’s assistant, bearing the brunt of his outburst, could not hold back any longer and revealed the truth.

"Mr. Ford, the food you’re asking for was cooked by Mrs. Ford herself. She hasn’t sent anything in a long time."

Christopher suddenly fell silent, gesturing for the assistant to leave.

"Phoebe, how long are you going to keep this up?"

He still refused to believe that I was dead, stubbornly convinced that I was just causing trouble. He even tried to arrange a meeting with my father, but my father rejected him without hesitation.

"Christopher, could Phoebe really be dead?" Nikki asked, feigning innocence as she leaned into him, blinking her eyes.

Christopher’s hand, which had been resting on her shoulder, suddenly tightened, making Nikki cry out in pain.
