(Alexander’s POV)
Kayleigh Davis is my lawfully wedded wife, and right now, she is standing in front of me, wearing nothing but my top pajama, which is enough to cover a portion of her upper thighs.
“Sorry, we have to share one pajama,” she smiles sheepishly as she brushes her hair. “I asked Alfie to bring me fresh clothes tomorrow.”
I watch her climb up the bed and take her smartphone. She taps the bed excitedly. “Come here, Alex. Come on, hurry!”
Wondering what it is about, I sit beside her, only to find out she is facing a camera and not some message from her cellphone. She pulls my arm closer to her, making my manhood hard as my nostrils catch her sweet-smelling scent. She puckers her mouth on my cheek then clicks the camera. She checks the picture afterward and then pouts her lips.
“Come on, husband, please smile a bit. This is our first picture together,” she says, squinting her eyes on me. “You’re not to scare our future children with our first picture as husband and wife.”
“It’s never going to happen, Leigh,” I am telling her about the future children.
“Hey! I told you to play along with me,” she quivers her lips, but it is only for a few seconds. Leigh smiles again and faces the camera.
This time I could not stop smiling as I looked at her. She is like a child, annoying but sweet and cute. She grins happily, and her eyes are sparkling as she gazes at me, making me forget she was taking a picture. I move my head closer to her and brush my lips into soft and plump lips.
She moves back after the quick kiss and then looks at the gallery. She smiles adoringly as she shows me our pictures.
I chuckle, amused at how she managed to take the picture. We look like a happy couple, very much in love as her camera catches the kiss.
I stand up, leaving Leigh as she enjoys looking at our few pictures. Right now, I need a cold shower and not alcohol that only encourages me to touch her. Avoiding looking at her, I almost ran to the bathroom as if she had scared me, and as for how long I stayed in the shower, I didn’t know because when I went out, my wife was already sleeping in the bed.
She was sleeping sideways, facing the space I was sure she meant to be mine.
My smartphone made a shrilling sound, causing Leigh to move, rolling to the other side. I answer it right away before the ring disturbs her sleep completely.
“How’s the honeymoon?” Chase asks, laughing at his question.
“Go to hell, Chase!” I hiss as I walk to the balcony.
His roar of laughter pisses me that I want to throw my phone. “Just in case you need a drinking buddy, I also checked in the hotel--”
I cut him. “No, thanks! I am not in the mood to drink. I have an early meeting tomorrow,” I lied. I have already called George, my secretary, to cancel all my appointments this week and planned to go abroad and be with my girlfriend.
I peek at her and clenches my fist when I see her upper thighs exposed when the blanket falls off her side.
Remembering Mei, my blood boiled in anger again. I should have just asked Zyra to fly here and be my bride instead. We could have enjoyed this honeymoon, and she would gladly accept whatever offer my family would give.
“Where’s the beautiful wife now?” Chase asks curiously after my long silence.
“Sleeping,” I answer briefly.
“Better sleep well tonight, Alex,” He chuckles. “Make sure to control your man there, okay.”
I take a deep breath. “Good night, Chase. Thank you for helping dad bring hell to my life.”
Chase guffaws, but it only annoys me more. I ended the call and threw my phone on the couch. I lay my back on the edge of the bed, thinking how to drift into a good night’s sleep when a beautiful woman is sleeping beside me.
Leigh moves, pulling the blanket and covering her exposed body.
“Go to sleep, husband, and stop staring at me,” she opens her eyes and purses her lips.
I lay sideways, facing her. I watch her as she moves her hand closer to me and pokes her index finger on my abs, then she immediately hides her hand under the pillow.
“What’s that for? To know if you’re dreaming or not?” I ask curiously, wanting to curve a smile on my lips, but I stop myself.
“No,” she giggles. “It’s always my dream to touch a man with abs. So sexy,” she utters, biting her lower lip and sighing deeply before closing her eyes.
I groan, hating how she bites her bottom lip. I want to say the same thing, so sexy. I closed my eyes with hopes that I would drift into a deep sleep like her.
When my eyelids open, it is already morning. Leigh is still sleeping, so I slowly climb down from the bed, making sure she won’t wake up yet. I call the receptionist to send us breakfast, turn on my laptop, and put my smartphone into silent mode, not wanting its ringing to wake her up. Then I went back, staring at her angelic face, and stood beside the bed.
“Good morning!” She greets, giving me her sweetest smile. She raises her eyebrows and stares at my body. It almost made me smile, remembering how she poked me and telling me it was her dream to touch abs. “What are you doing there?”
“Waiting for you,” I said, also unsure why I was standing beside the bed.
I watch her get up then, puckers her lips, and give me a flying kiss, but made a U-turn to open the draped curtain of the balcony.
“I’m never okay with flying kiss, wife,” I whisper, and before Leigh could protest, I pull her closer to me and make sure to seal her lips with mine. She was in a daze, unsure of what to do at first, then she kissed me back, igniting my body and wanting her more.
The word danger was flashing in my mind.
I carry Leigh back to the bed, and before I could do something we would regret later, I let go of her mouth.
“I’ll take a shower, and let’s talk after,” I said, trying to breathe after our searing kiss.
She nods slowly and licks her bottom lip.
I groan as I see her tongue licking her lips. I kissed her lips again, and this time I meant to claim her mouth and taste Kayleigh David, my wife, before I started my day.
“Husband,” she says in a raspy voice as I bury my face to her neck.
“Yes, my lovely wife?” I ask, planting quick kisses on the skin of her neck.
“You’d better stop,” Leigh answers in between her moans. “This is really dangerous. I’m… I’m… Just stop, please.”
I sigh, letting my beautiful wife go. I rose to my feet and went to the bathroom despite wanting to kiss her more. I was already under the shower when I heard the doorbell. It must be the hotel staff bringing us breakfast.
She must have turned on some music, but I ignored the annoying sounds. Is she trying to look for better music?
I was shampooing my hair when I heard Leigh scream, and before I could rinse, the bathroom door opened, exposing me in my birthday suit in the shower glass partition.
“What?” I ask worriedly, opening the glass door and feeling anxious that she had hurt herself.
She halts screaming abruptly, and for a few seconds, her mouth gapes open as she stares at my manhood, then she swallows hard.
“What’s your problem?” I ask again, and my eyes close as they sting because of the shampoo.
She shakes her head.
“I forgot,” she answers as she bites her lips, still staring at my member in between my thighs. She blinks and surprises me with her question.
“Can I join you in the shower?”
(Leigh’s POV)Alfie and his big mouth shared in his vlog how our day ended yesterday, and even without telling who the client was, it somehow showed a few seconds of us, Alex kissing me passionately on the lips after the pronouncement. Kayla, my sister, and one of his few followers saw the video, and the news spread like wildfire in the forest.I was doing my early stretching when my phone rang. It was my brother’s Carlos, and when I ignored the call, I had another call.I found myself panicking and screaming, running like crazy to the open bathroom, forgetting that my Adonis husband was taking a shower. When he asked me my problem, I completely forgot about it as my eyes darted on his majestic shaft. I have never seen a real one in my entire life, except in pictures from my science classes, but is this what they call long, massive. All I
(Leigh’s POV)Before Alex could explain himself, I had already hit his hand on my thigh with my cellphone, making him roar with laughter. He raises his hands after ending the call and still laughing.“Chase won’t accept any of my explanations anyway,” he says, picking his cup and sipping coffee. “He likes you,” he continued as his smile disappeared.I almost choked at what he said.He heaves a deep sigh and leans on the backrest of the chair. “So, tell me about your family before we go there.” He clucks his tongue and shakes his head, surprising me. “I don’t want to go in a war without knowing anything, Leigh.”I frown at him. “You’re not going into a war, husband,” I utter, twitching my lips and squinting my eyes. “But come to think of it,
(Alexander’s POV)“When you said home, I didn’t expect this long travel, Leigh,” I didn’t mean to complain, but three hours of driving was not a joke. “Where do I turn?” I asked as we entered a rough road.“Do you see those string lights ahead?” She pointed with her finger. “And do you see that house? You can stop the car there.”“I need a massage later,” I groan, massaging the back of my neck. Should I have known the long drive, I have asked my driver this morning.“I’ll give you a full massage later if we survive this one,” Leigh said, struggling to unfasten her seatbelt. She cursed under her breathe, causing me to shake my head.“Let me do it,” I shake my head, unbuckling my seatbelt to help her with hers. Her hands are
(Leigh’s POV) “Alexander Hearst, what have you done?” I ask furiously as I watch him roam around my tiny bedroom as if he is in a museum. I am crying in a panic, but my crazy husband seems to be amused with my artwork and the cleanliness of my room. “A week delayed?” I yelled, growling at him.He turns to me. “It was taking you too long to think. If you’re not pregnant, then it’s easier to file the divorce.” He pulls the chair on my study table and pulls me to him, sitting me on his lap.I bit my lower lip to stop myself from crying, but the back of my legs was swollen after my father paddled me five times that I could not help myself from yelping. I grip his arm, stopping myself from screaming.Alex’s forehead knitted, and he seem
(Leigh’s POV)Not breaking the kiss, I hold the hem of his shirt, hoping to take it off, but I am only putting myself in an embarrassing situation because my hands fidget, not knowing what to do. I groan, making him chuckle in between our kisses. He helps me pull off his shirt and toss it somewhere in my bedroom. When his lips parted my mouth and glided to my jaw, we both heard the ringing of my cellphone.No. Not just mine, but also his.Alex reaches for my cellphone and reads the screen but returns it on the table, and he bites my earlobe before whispering into my ears. “Leigh, baby, it’s Seb.”“Who?” I ask, trying to remember the name which seems familiar. His burning kisses had impaired my hearing and affected my brain.I felt him smiling as his lips brushed the skin of my neck. “Seb... Sebastian,
(Leigh’s POV)When Alex and I enter the dining room, my nostrils get excited smelling my mother has prepared all my favorite food. My eyes give Alex a quick look, and he seems to be amazed at the long table. I hold his hand and tug him to the two vacant seats. We are like in a traditional classroom, always having the same seating arrangement. Papa is seated on the head seat of the table, while Mama is in his right while Granny is on his left. The following would be according to our birth order, and being the youngest, I would be on the farthest end of the table. We usually have dinner outside when we are all together since we do not fit at the long table now that my brothers and sisters have their own family and children, but today, only the adults are in the dining room. Suddenly, I want to join my nephews and nieces in the backyard, enjoying their dinner.
(Leigh’s POV)Our first dinner was a success, but I had to excuse myself from everyone when my phone rang. When I saw Seb’s name on my cellphone’s screen, Alex told me I had to answer it, reminding me I could not avoid Sebastian forever.I walked back to my room and directly went inside the bathroom. I sat inside the bathtub, and for a while, I stared at my phone screen before accepting the call.“Seb,” was the only word I could say. My hands are trembling, and I feel like choking after making such an impulsive decision. An intelligent person would not opt for that irresponsible choice.“Sweetheart, finally,” Seb said as soon as he heard my voice. The worry, instead of anger, in his voice, melted my heart away. “I met Alfie this morning, and he explained to me everything.”I started to bawl like a child. When
(Leigh’s POV)“Stop it, Leigh,” complains Alex as he squats immediately, holding my thighs tighter, but when I start wriggling and screaming, we both fall on the ground. He rolled and caught me before my bottom could hit the ground, holding my hips tighter, but we stopped moving and perhaps even breathing when the lights turned on.“Kayleigh!” yelled my Papa after seeing Alex and me in a very awkward position. The hem of my skirt landed gracefully on Alex’s face, making me look like sitting on his face. I have completely forgotten the slimy thing I touched on the tree branch. With his tight grip on my hips, I think he planned to place me safely on his side, but we could not move because we were caught on the wrong foot.I stand up, helping Alex get up. He massages his arm after steadying himself before my father.“S
(Alexander’s POV) “You may kiss your wife,” the officiant said, but my lips molded Leigh’s lips before he could finish his line. Leigh and I laughed as we watched Alfie’s video that he had sent us. I saw myself as tears rolled down my cheeks as I claimed her mouth, tasting the sweetness of my wife’s lips and feeling the overflowing happiness that we had finally renewed our vows. We were seated on the couch, facing the king-sized bed where the twins slept soundly. “Renewal of vows,” Leigh whispered as she leaned her head on my shoulder. “When I saw you and Chase talking this morning -” I cut him. “He was telling me the big problem I’d face if I continued my plan of marrying Zyra.” Her almond-shaped eyes gaped at me, looking at me with wonder. “Why didn’t you sign the divorce papers, Alex?” I planted a kiss on her hair. “Because I always hoped we will have our chance, Leigh.” “Me, too,” She smiled, but her eyes squinted and asked me, “When they said that the groom was missing, I
(Leigh’s POV)The groom is missing. How dare Alex ruins his multi-million-dollar wedding? I was puffing out air, thinking about what came to his crazy mind running away on this special day. When Ellen and Kayla came to my room, they were quiet. They seemed to have known the problem, but they chose not to talk. Kayla placed little Alexander in his stroller while Ellen approached me, taking baby Amanda from me.Elle opened the door and helped me fix the skirt of my wedding gown.“An update, Elle?” I asked her.“Alfie’s fixing the problem,” she said, glancing at my sisters, who padded out of the room. She laughs nervously when she notices I am worrying and don’t know what to pick first. “Focus, Leigh. This is your wedding. You’re not the one who loses the groom, so give that beautiful smile and have a blast,” she said, picking up my bouquet and giving it to me.“I just saw him a while ago -” My voice trailed off, realizing it was nonsense to talk about him now. “And why are you here? You
(Leigh’s POV)So much for my plan of beauty rest!I hardly had a wink last night because baby Amanda was crying almost all night that I wanted to rush her to the hospital, but whenever I danced her in my arms, she would stop crying and go to sleep. George brought Maxine yesterday to our house, and since she couldn’t come to our bedroom, she has been howling and crying until midnight. Only when Kayla got Callie out of my room that she stops whimpering.“What happened to you?” Elle blinked, looking at me as she entered my room.I climbed down from the bed lazily, went to my dresser, and saw my hair worse than a haystack. I groaned, looking at my eyes. She rolled her eyes, tugging me back to the bed.“What time are we leaving?” I asked, lying again on the bed. I need sleep—more of it.She chuckled. “We’re actually leaving. Just sleep in the car,” she suggested. “You need to have your hair done, makeup, and everything.”I groaned, going under the covers of my blanket. “Why is it that it d
(Leigh’s POV)“For you… For you, I will…” I breathed out, clutching my shirt, wondering why I couldn’t memorize my wedding vow.I inhaled… and then exhaled, looking at the perfect blue sky. It was a miracle that the weather today cooperated with us. Since Alex left that night, the sky has been crying with me, and though my family and friends saw me smiling, my heart was aching from the deep wound of the hard decision we had made.As long as we are together, every step or decision we make will be a mistake.“The flowers are soooo beautiful, Leigh,” Alfie uttered, admiringly looking at the different flowers, from roses of different colors to other flowers that we hardly recognize unless they would tell us what they were.I smirked at him. “When you get married, and the budget is sky is the limit, this is the result.”“But the couples would go to hell after,” he sighed.“Don’t say that,” I said, looking at the large and open meadow. It was last week when Mr. Hearst, the older Mr. Hearst,
(Alexander’s POV)After dinner, George went to Aunt Ida’s house, her temporary place to stay while we were here. Even if I don’t ask her, I know how she likes staying here because of the homey feeling we are experiencing.I heaved a deep sigh as I looked at the dark sky, trying to gather my senses together, thinking of what happened today and what I would do after this. For a honeymoon idea, I knew how much Leigh wanted to go back to the farm. We could spend our time there as one family, and when the twins are one or two, maybe we could all travel together.“Beer?” Royce asked, giving me a bottle of beer.I smiled, taking the bottle.“Reconsidering?” He sat on the wooden bench, gazing at the sky.“About Leigh or the twins?” I smirked, causing him to chuckle. He drank his beer, giving me a silent answer to tell him my plans for them.“As much as I hated Leigh for lying to me, I still love her, Royce,” It was easier to be honest to him than tell Leigh my feelings. She is one complicated
(Leigh’s POV)Was it the warm sprinkle from the shower? Perhaps Zyra’s fingernails have poison causing me to feel like this. Before he stepped into the shower area, my body was burning with desire, and there was a need inside me that wanted him to touch me… and kiss me.“Leigh,” His voice trailed off because as soon as he was in front of me, my hands grabbed his head, curling my fingers to his hair, never wanting to let him go. My heels have their own mind, raising my body to reach his soft lips, making my tongue do its work, exploring his mouth, taunting him into an adventure that I didn’t care if we would regret in the end.I must have turned on something in him, too. He pinned me to the wall, and his hands excitedly touched every part of me, feverishly arousing my heart, body, and soul. We were on fire, kissing intensely, touching passionately, caressing our bodies like we have hungry for a long time.He brought me into a new world when he thrust his manhood to my core, rocking and
(Leigh’s POV)Before I went to the kitchen to drink water, I brought the three babies to the porch and continued working there. Being a single mother, I had to work, but I mostly handled special editing projects, so I could still work from home. I asked Dyna to watch them for a while as I went inside, but as soon as I returned to the porch, she left in a hurry to go to her bakeshop. If only I could pull the days to our wedding day so that this would be over. Yet I also wished to stop the time, hoping that Alex would not get my children from me. I was in the middle of editing a picture when a familiar car stopped in front of our house.I rose to my feet, walking in the direction of the white vehicle because I was not sure at first who could our unexpected visitor be, but when the passenger door at the back of the car opened, I was surprised to see Zyra. She dashed to me, looking furious as she approached me. “You bitch!” She screamed angrily as she pulled my hair toward her.I could n
(Alexander’s POV)With a crib in Kayleigh’s bedroom, it was impossible to add another bed, and despite everyone’s disapproval of letting me stay in her bedroom, they didn’t have the choice when Carlito spoke up, explaining the reason why. I received sullen looks, especially from her brothers, but no one shared their disagreement.I have been staring at her ceiling for an hour now, listening to her even breathing. I felt guilty for taking our children on the day of her birthday, but I didn’t know, and I was already consumed by much anger that I didn’t think much. When I heard baby Amanda cry, I closed my eyes immediately when I felt Leigh move. She got up, still yawning, when she climbed down from the bed, taking our daughter from the crib. She sat on the chair next to the bed and pulled off her sleepwear to expose her breast to her. When I heard her even breathing as she breastfed our baby, I opened my eyes to check on them, watching her look like she was sleeping. As my little girl w
(Alexander’s POV)Kayla and Eloisa came into the room with little Alexander and baby Amanda. When the twins cried, it was like something snapped inside Leigh’s mind, making her blink. She scrambled to her feet, ignoring me in front of her and seeing only her two children.“Alex…” She cried.Eloisa, her eyes puffy from crying, nodded. “Yes. Alex came back and returned them.”“Are they hungry? Is Alex…” Leigh said, pressing her breasts and shaking her head. “Never mind.”“You have to eat and clean up first, Leigh,” Kayla told her.“Of course,” she said, pacing around the room, not knowing what to do first. “Is Alex -”She stopped again, perhaps she still didn’t know how to ask it, but couldn’t she see me? Kayla placed Amanda in the crib and approached her sister, putting her hands on her shoulder and holding her in place.“Alex is fine. He’s very much okay. You don’t have to worry about him. Listen to me, Kayleigh, gather yourself together because the twins are hungry. Eloisa will help
