Book Two Branch Two Hundred and Fifty Six

Aletta had barely been able to sleep, she found herself waking up at intervals to check if it was time to get to work. She noticed that her mom had not come home in two days now.

Knowing her mom she could be somewhere having the time of her life so two days was not enough reason to get agitated.

She jumped out of bed as soon as her alarm went off and was getting ready to get to work when her phone began to ring off the hook. The only reason she was allowed to get calls like that was if there was an issue at work.

When the name Ms. Millie flashed across her screen she held her breath and put the phone to her ears. She was in charge of the warehouse and usually, a call from her always meant something had horn wrong. She always used text messages for updates and good news but a call meant urgency and bad news.

"Hello Ms Millie I haven't heard from you for a while" Aletta said as soon as the line connected.

"Which must have been good news for you" Millie said in her rich deep voice.
