Book Two: Branch Twenty Six

"Sir?" she asked as she bent to the car level. 'Why is he trying so hard to kill me? Is he going to kill me in a car accident because I rejected him? ' she thought to herself as a smile forcefully appeared on her face.

"If Jack would be going on a break today then I guess I should be doing the driving, it is part of my job description after all," she said as she waited for a response.

"I can do the driving" he said pulling up the seatbelt to himself.

"But you can barely keep a straight line whilst driving," she said before standing up straight and walking to the driver's side of the car. she opened the door and waited for him to come down.

Jack watched with shock at the interaction between the two young people. he had been Joshua's driver ever since he was young, he had never seen the young boy volunteer to drive himself before. he knew that he only had the driver's license because it served as a means of identification.
