Book Two: Branch Twenty Eight

"What?" she asked staring at him because she definitely needed more than that statement to understand the situation.

"I brought you here" he continued to explain.

"What?" she asked again.

"It seems as though what is your favourite word," he said tilting his head a little so he could see her fully.

"I only react like that if I do not understand what is being said"

"You called it a date so let's go have a date"

"You and I?" she asked with a hiccup.

"I don't see anyone else here or do you?" he asked with a teasing voice.

She had never known Joshua to be one with the jokes. No one would ever believe her if she told them. if she took a video of him they would probably call her a video manipulator because he had been known to be serious-minded just like his father.

"Are you asking me out on a date?" she asked shocked. What about his girlfriend? Was he just a douchebag like any other man? Did his wealth not make a difference in making him a better man?
