Book Two: Branch One Hundred and Nineteen

"Do you want to come in?" Aletta asked as they pulled up to the front of her house. "I don't mean it for any reason just to let you have a cup of tea or something" she added.

Now that they had spent the morning together she didn't feel ready to let go of him just yet.

"You are inviting me in?" he asked shocked at her.

"Yes, do you not want to come in?" she asked now second-guessing her proposal.

"I do, it's strange considering you want me out of your hair at all times," he said and she bent her head.

She whipped her head back up with a swift motion. "It's not like I want you out of my hair, it's just that I don't want people seeing us together“ she explained.

"But what about today?" he asked.

"You know what? Let's just forget that I even said anything at all. Goodbye," she said reaching for the door handle.

"Wait," he said touching her hands and making her spin her head to face him. They were face to face with her lips only a space away from his.

this is starting to get boring with so many repeating points of view and I still think the secret relationship is a bit much
