Book Two: Branch Eleven

Aletta cleared her throat as her eyes darted through the whole car. She could not believe the situation. Yes, she was wrong for confessing to him. She hated herself for doing so but why was he throwing a major tantrum?

"Yes, I remember very clearly" she admitted. She breathed out and tried to steady herself. So what if she remembered? She had apologized already why was he dragging out like a big baby?

"But I apologized already" she continued. She closed her eyes and pressed her temples with her fingers.

"Does it end if you apologize?" he asked and his eyes shot open. Should he not let it go since she apologized and it was obvious she was trying her best to avoid the situation? Should he not pick up on that fast? Was he this slow concerning this kind of thing?
