Book Two: Branch Eighty Five

Aletta struggled to free herself from Joshua's grip and pulled herself out of it. She raised her head and peered into his face. She watched him and wanted to trace her hand across his well-defined features. She was tempted to drop a kiss on his lips but refrained herself from doing it.

"I have to go now or else we might be found out before we leave this place" she whispered into his ear. He did not stir or move as he was fast asleep. She smiled and let out a small giggle. She pushed herself off the bed and tiptoed to the door.

She clicked the key open and pulled the door open. She tried her best to be as quiet as possible as she let herself out. By the time she got to the room she shared with Jeanne, she was fast asleep and she tried her best not to wake her up while she freshened up in the shower.
