Zyrielle's POV.

My eyes narrowed at his statement, trying to read between the lines yet failing woefully. "Teach Lucas a lesson? Why?" I replied skeptically.

He sighed, leaning slightly forward to touch me but I recoiled at his near touch. "My bad, I was only trying to adjust the pillow, you looked uncomfortable." He pointed out which I didn't feel was too bad. I appreciated the fact that he wanted to help me out, at least. However, I was still a bit reticent about him.

"Okay, so..."

"So, my nephew has done a lot of things that he needs to be punished for. One of which is hurting you." He answered with a hint of anger and determination in his tone. This wasn't just because of me, it was some deep-seated anger that he was trying to contain.

"And we return to square one," I muttered.

"You still haven't told me what I want to hear," I answered him as I pondered on what Lucas could have done to cause his uncle to hate him so much.
