Twenty-Six

Zyrielle's POV.

"Not now, Lucas." I groaned under my breath. We were beginning to draw attention and I was pained by this outcome. This didn't make any sense at all.

I locked eyes with Rain but even feared for my life when I saw the way he was vibrating in anger. I reached for his arm across the table. As much as I would like to answer Lucas, this wasn't the right place. I wanted to slap a lawsuit in his face. That way, I would be able to get rid of him instantly without any remorse.

He was seething, tension was brimming and sparks were about to fly. If we condoned it, then we would be butting heads soon.

Instead I smiled at him. "I didn't know that you frequented a place like this. One would think that a man of your status wouldn't be found here. Where's your arm candy?" I pretended to gaze around, searching for his royal deliciousness.
