Rain's POV.I saw red the instant I saw Dr Sanchez hugging my wife. Now he couldn't deny that he liked her or was trying to move in on her. My brain had begun to piece the puzzle. Had they been waiting for me to turn my back so that they began their love story? This didn't make any sense and I was going to try as much as possible to count down to ten so that I didn't commit murder."Hey, I didn't know you were going to come."'Yeah, right, because you wanted to go around town frolicking with your beloved doctor.' I replied inwardly. The doctor was visibly shaken but my wife was only looking at me like I was an intruder. "Didn't you say that you were going to leave me to come alone?" She queried me but right now I was mad with anger. This wasn't the best time for her to tell me that nonsense. If I had been a fool before, this surely opened my eyes wide to see that things have been happening behind my back but I was too blind to see them. "How am I supposed to stay away from my pregna
Zyrielle's POV. My eyes widened at his words. He was kidding me right now, how would he even imagine that this would work out? He knew how I felt about a lot of things but was still trying to get me to talk about what not, I was already tired and didn't want to continue this conversation because I felt like it was pointless."You have every right to be angry but it still doesn't take away the fact that that man is a good man. I know how you must feel but we still need to understand each other properly. I guess that is still lacking." I began. Rain didn't look pleased by my dismissing reply and I was enjoying his dilemma. This was one of the few times that I have seen him shown intense emotion. "Do you have any feelings for him?" He inquired and I blinked in shock. "What?" I spluttered. "Have feelings for who? The doctor?" I inquired again to be sure that we were on the same page. He was delusional to think that I had feelings for someone I considered a friend or not even more than
Zyrielle's POV. We were under open air so there was basically know where for me to run to. I only just hope that I wasn't about to get killed by some person determined to be a menace in society. "Let's go, they are not here for us." Rain said after some sirens had begun to blare the space. "Who were those people?" Inquired hopefully that it wasn't going to be anyone sent to get rid of us. "Why is my heart palpitating so hard?" I muttered aloud. It was then I glanced at Rain and saw that his hand was bleeding seriously. This was very foreign to me because I did not understand why this was happening in the first place. "What happened?" I inquired from him to be sure of what I was seeing. "Exactly what you think it is. I was shot, I think those people were sent to us but I can't say, since the cops are already tailing them, I'll be fine." My eyes went wide as large saucers, "what? This is not going to work. We need to get you to the hospital and I mean really fast." I told him b
Zyrielle's POV. Watching rain through the lenses of his family's name was a bad perception. I had come to realize that I was probably treating him based on the image I had created in my head but he was quite different. My hands flew to my stomach absent-mindedly as I contemplated my next action. We were supposed to be meeting with his lawyers but I needed some break due to my health. Now that we had the time, we weren't going to let it slip off our hands. "So, I have an offer for you." Rain spoke as we proceeded to the seat in the restaurant. I could almost imagine what he was about to say. For him to be acting all humble, that means he was up to no good and was trying to make up for it. "Don't bother to say it if you know it's going to offend. I don't treat offenses lightly." I warned him and he began to laugh. "Why do women find it so hard to forgive men?" He wiggled his brows, I was getting to understand that he was plain and used this medium as a form of releasing stress.
Rain's POV.Her eyes widened considerably before she called herself to order. This was all the information I needed to know that she didn't want to get married. It was probably a response to her traumatic experience but this was one of the things Lawrence was going to tell us. I only wanted her to accompany me so that she understood the gravity. She leaned towards me before whispering, "but we are married, do we still need a grand wedding to prove that?" She inquired. I shrugged slightly before texting Lawrence to better have a good reason to convince her. "Sadly yes, it could be contested that we are not married and that the certificate is fake. We are going to do the whole process and enjoy it. I don't think it should be the thing of surprise right now. We should instead be planning how we would shock Lucas and Cheryl. I hear they are also planning a wedding." I informed her, hoping that she would see the need for us to be really invested in that. Her brows furrowed, her lips a b
Zyrielle's POV. Rain was acting weird as we walked back to the car. I didn't want to pester him so that he didn't feel like I was a burden. I just really wanted to know what was happening to him so that I could understand my next line of action. "Is anything the matter?" I inquired from him but he still didn't say anything. Instead, he went ahead to smile. "We have an impromptu visitor in the house. She might be staying for a while." He informed me which was quite surprising because I wasn't expecting him to just bring someone home. "Okay...?" I asked."So, I want you to be very calm. She can be problematic sometimes but it's a phase and it will leave before you can blink." He prepared my mind for this person. That did nothing to quench the inquisitive part of me, it made me even want to know who exactly this person was. Was she some ex-lover?"And who might this person be?" I asked again since he didn't think it was necessary to tell me more details about this person. "A friend
Zyrielle's POV.I knew that I could be considered to be acting relationally but that didn't stop the fact that I was right in whatever actions I decided to take. This was simply not right and I wasn't going to allow anyone to bamboozle me into accepting it. Rain had spoken a lot about how he has always wanted me and I was starting to believe it, but with all the evidence presented before me, I didn't know what to think. This wasn't even the case of whatever I felt for him. He had to be accountable to his words so that I would trust him. "So, you are practically saying that I am a liar and a cheat, is that what you mean?" He inquired and I shrugged casually. He wasn't making it easy for me to defend him. "You know everything that I suffered with Lucas, if you keep on bringing up signs that send the wrong signal to me, what do you want me to expect?"Rain glanced at me before heading into the bathroom. He wasn't going to speak with me because he knew I was speaking nothing but facts.
Zyrielle's POV. I waited for a few minutes so that I didn't say anything wrong. He touched my back and I melted in his arms. "What?" I replied while staring at him softly. "So what do you want to do with this attraction that you feel for me? We both know that this isn't heading anywhere. We know the constraints behind our relationship so what exactly are we doing?" I inquired from him hoping that he did not ask me further questions because it was going to ruin everything that I had going on for me. "So... This is what I want us to understand. We can only get the right answers if we are open to each other. What exactly do you want to bring out from this relationship? Do you think that it can progress into something more or it is all about revenge? I want us to be as honest as possible." Rain said. He was asking a lot from me because I didn't want to talk about it. The fear of getting burnt again was enough to send me running whenever I heard a person telling me that he loved me. "
