"Are you sure he would like me?" I inquired from rain as I reached for my purse. I didn't want to concern myself with impressing anyone, but I still couldn't help but wonder what his father had heard.

"It does not change my feelings for you so I don't think you should be worried about anything." He reassured me.

"That's sweet but I can't help but to be afraid. Who knows what has been said, question mark. It's not far-fetched if I think that Lucas might have tried to spin some lies." I reminded him.

He cast a glance at me before reaching for my hand. "They do not determine how I know my life, unlike Lucas, who is a mommy's boy." He replied with a smile on his face.
