The man looked at me in confusion, I let go of his hand and forced a smile.

“You look familiar, I think I have met you once before.”

I lied, trying to hide my outburst. I couldn’t let him suspect a thing as he might make a run for it. Then I remembered that I could actually tell my mate what I wanted and why this man shouldn’t be let go if they wanted to find the bears that had been attacking our pack.

“You should arrest him. He made the order.”

I said in my head, Bernardo turned to look at me and I nodded.

“What order?”

“To kill the couple in their sleep. He knows where the bear hides. If you want to find those bears then don’t let this man leave this place.”

I warned him.

“That’s Damien’s father’s younger brother.”

Bernardo revealed. Well, another uncle playing dirty games. Maybe it was an uncle's thing to want their family members gone. I wondered what his reasons were.

“I saw what I saw. If you let him go, you won’t find those bears.”

I told him and forced another smi
