"Are you okay, man?" Malakhi asked as he passed me a bottle of water. These meetings were getting ridiculous; how many leadership summits should we have before all the nations agree on one thing?

"I'm tired of this," I muttered. I wanted to say that I wanted to go home to my wife and children and to hell with this summit.

"Tell me about it. I just got off a call with Anin, and she was getting ready for Amanah's anniversary. She was so gorgeous, but I couldn't get a word out because of how pissed I am at these summits."

"That's today?" I was disappointed. I wanted to be there for her anniversary; my baby had worked her ass off and made me so proud of the leader she had become.

"Yeah, they specifically chose today because you wouldn't be there to distract Amanah," he said cheekily, and I scoffed.

"Hey, I'm not the one organising these meetings. Don't take your frustrations out on me," I said, and he sighed, shaking his head.
