8:00pm ....

Donato's POV

I walked quietly along the quiet empty street , I was getting really uncomfortable inside so I decided to just take a run and now I'm on my way back home , I decided to just take a slow walk and take all my time.

"Help!" I heard in a distance, I paused for a while but I heard nothing again apart from the sound of cricket cries.

I resumed walking,

"Help" I heard again, this time more persistent, my ears pricked at that. These evil creatures are at it again I'm sure.

I increased my pace and followed the voice immediately.

I got to where they were.

"Please help me" the woman screamed as soon as she saw me and I rushed to them immediately .

I raised my hand immediately and hit it at the back of his head immediately.

He let go of her and she fell to the floor, he turned to me immediately his eyes glowing red as he bared his two ugly pointy teeth and intimidatingly walking close to me as he clashed his teeth violently .

A Vampire!! I knew it .

I took a bold stance as I reached for my pocket and brought out a small wolf fang I had there.

Before I knew it he was already standing behind me , just as I predicted as he wanted to grab my neck , I ducked and somersaulted to the other side.

I think that caught him unawares he probably thought he got me , I knew better than to make my thoughts or emotions visible around vampires.

"Arghh" he growled baring his teeth wider as he super sped to where I was and punched me right in the face .

At that moment I became mad with anger I smacked him in the face brought out the tiny fang I was holding and stabbed him him the chest.

One thing they are susceptible to is werewolf fang, I stood back as I watched him burn up and vanished with thin air .

I closed up the fang and out it back in my pocket.

I walked back to the woman he attacked earlier she just sat there staring on the floor with her eyes popping out.

"Monster " she whispered

I quickly brought out a small foam ball from my pocket and handed it over to her.

"Here" I said and she looked up at me slowly.

"It's already , I'm harmless"

"Just squeeze the ball to relieve your tension" I said and she nodded slowly as she took the balls from my hands and began to squeeze it.

I slowly dropped to her position , as she squeezed the ball small gas particles began to come out.

"You did not just see a monster" 

"You saw nothing strange tonight"

"Just a bad guy trying to take your purse that's all" I whispered and held hands to stop squeezed.

She sneezed immediately and opened he eyes.

"My purse!!" she called.

"Here it is" I said handing it over to her.

"Thank you for helping me get my purse back" she said and I nodded.

"I believe this is for you " she said and handed over the ball to me.

"Sure" I replied with a small smile, as she stood up and walked away.

"Aii" I sighed as I watched her leave , after a while I turned onto my own route and left.

Every since I saw my mother killed by those useless creature , a vampire particularly , I've so detested those creatures.

Growing up my mother always told stories about them , I thought that was just it , Stories ! . Until I saw one kill my mother in reality.

When I told my grandparents and sister about it they thought I had ran mad and was in grief just trying to give a cause to my mom's sudden death.

Only my aunt believed me , she and my mom to had always known that those creatures exist.

Probably the reason my mom taught me self defense,my aunt taught me how to use the fang and everything I needed to know in order to fight them.

She told me about all that was happening and why my mom's death happened.

The night my mom died was the night the leader of the black werewolf and vampire - The almighty one as he's being called tried to take the life of the Elected one, so he won't be dethroned.

No wonder the town was in disarray that particular night , it's quite obvious that these beings and humans can't peaceful coexist , we would continue to be their prey.

My mission alongside other humans who have been victims of vampire attacks is to eradicate them all.

Everyone of them including the Almighty one!!.

California ...

Athena's POV continued.

"What in the world just happened?!" I thought staring at the book terrified.

I raised my hands up to my face and looked at it , I don't have super powers right?! Or do i?!.

Because that is possibly not ordinary, the poem that came up what does that mean ?!, Right now I'm beyond confused.

"Dear" Mom said rushing into my room an I turned to look at her , dad was behind her also.

"We heard your scream what's going on" she added.

"Sweet baby Jesus, why is this place so disorganized" she asked looking around.

I just kept staring at them at loss of what to even say, dad quietly came forward and led me to seat on the bed.

"What was wrong" he asked and I simply just pointed at the book lying at one corner of my room.

As I told them about the dream I had .

"I found it in my parent's stuff" I whispered and mom walked towards the book and picked it up.

"What's there it's empty" she said opening the book.

"No it isn't!"

"Yes it is " she said walking towards me with the book.

"Place your hands on it" I said and she did, I looked at the book expectantly but nothing happened.

"Now you're scaring me , what exactly is going on" she said and I slowly the the book from her and placed my hands on it , instantly the book and the whole place lit up as the inked writing appeared again.

I think it's me , I have special abilities!.

"Oh! My ! God!" They both gasped and took the book from me as they read the content .

I just sat on the bed staring at nothing in particular as I tried to wrap my head around all what is happening.

Is this in anyway connected to what I saw in my dream?! Or it's all just in my head as the poem said.

"What ! Is ! This!" Mom whispered immediately she was done reading.

"Did you find anything else" dad asked turning to me and I just shook my head tightly.

He quickly moved closer to the box and brought out all that was in it.

After awhile he brought out something like a stick , it was really thick and enclosed in a case.

He twisted it open and we all gasped.

It was sort of like the tooth of an animal a really huge one.

"What the hell is that" Mom whispered.

"Believe it or not guys this is just like those paranormal movies , it's a werewolf fang!" He said and mom gasped.

"Oh my God"

"Athena" Dad called and I sharply looked up at him.

"I think we're gonna have to revisit your hometown , Mindoro" he said and we all stared at each other , different thought going through our minds I'm sure, because me for one I have dozens of questions flowing through my head.

What exactly are my parents?!!!.
