CHAPTER FIVE

Andrew, an unknown beast filled with an evil spirit, had devoured almost all the packs in Ramine City before Carly was traded to Alpha Terry. The city buzzed with trembling and fear. Now, Andrew was making his way to Lamine City, intent on spreading his reign of terror.

Meanwhile, Carly fell to her knees, her cheek burning, but she dared not touch it or move an inch.

"How dare you!" Tina spat, yanking Carly's hair backward in a violent manner.

“Please…please, you're hurting me,” Carly cried as Tina continued pulling her hair and hitting her.

"It's okay, Guards, take her out!" Alpha Terry said, but Tina wasn’t ready to let go. She had been fantasizing about getting rid of Carly for a long time.

"It's not okay!" Tina yelled dramatically. "Look at my dress. This is expensive! I knew you were jealous of me all along. What were you thinking, making my dress ugly?"

"No, no, I swear I didn't think of such a thing," Carly begged, tears streaming down her face.

"I said it's enough!" Alpha Terry growled angrily. "What's wrong with you? Are you nuts or something? Be careful with your speech or it will be used against you."

Tina screamed, pushing people aside as she stormed off. Meanwhile, Carly crawled to the spot where the glass had shattered, meticulously collecting each shard until the floor was clear. Exiting the event hall, she disposed of the broken glass in the kitchen trash.

"Are you utterly useless? You had one job and you botched it!" Tina's voice followed her into the kitchen, brandishing a stick with menacing intent.

"Please... I'm truly sorry... it was an accident," Carly pleaded, but Tina’s blows rained down relentlessly, striking her head and body.

"Stop, please!" Carly begged, attempting to dodge the relentless assault.

At one point, she managed to seize the stick, causing a brief pause. Carly’s narrowed gaze faltered as she took a step back.

"You want to strike me, is that it?" Tina questioned, prompting Carly to discard the stick.

"Never! It was a misunderstanding. I didn't mean to... please forgive me, Luna, please," Carly implored, tears streaming down her face amidst the pain and blurred vision.

Tina scoffed, spat on her face, and departed. Collapsed on the ground, Carly's body throbbed with agony. She closed her eyes, the pounding in her head overwhelming.

Tina stormed back into her room, her footsteps heavy with frustration. She let out a piercing scream, venting her anger by pushing and breaking anything within her sight.

“Seriously!? It was just a dress; stop overreacting!” Alpha Terry entered the room, rolling his eyes at her outburst.

“You're only defending her because she's your mate, right?” Tina questioned, crossing her arms defensively.

“Tina, are you serious? I feel absolutely nothing for that slave. Remember, it was your idea for me to find my mate! Don't try to blame me for this,” he retorted as she threw a pillow at his face.

“The plan was to get their pack princess, not this disgusting idiot! She ruined my favorite dress, Tina! She should be punished!” Tina yelled, her frustration evident, while Terry gave her a wry smile.

“Punished? Because she ruined your dress? That's insane! Have a bath, take your medication, and rest,” he urged, kissing her forehead before leaving the room.

“Argh, that idiot will die by my hands!” Tina seethed, exhaling heavily as she headed to her bathroom.

After her bath, she changed into a casual dress and left her room. However, she paused upon seeing Carly and her husband engaged in conversation. To Tina, it seemed like he was already cheating on her, causing her to gasp in shock as she descended the stairs.

“What's going on? Are you arranging a rendezvous now?” she demanded, crossing her arms, and Terry turned to glare at her.

“Tina, go take a rest!” He ordered, tossing the first aid box to Carly, who quietly took it and retreated.

“You, stop right there,” Tina commanded, causing Carly to freeze in her tracks.

“Make it clear to her that she's of no use here,” Tina insisted, and Terry looked at Carly with a mixture of pity and frustration.

“She already knows she's a useless slave. Do you have to remind her?” He said, taking Tina's hands. “I love you, and this Omega slave means nothing to me.”

“Really!?”

“Have I ever lied to you, Tina?” He countered, kissing her neck tenderly before lifting her up, their lips meeting passionately.

Meanwhile, Carly couldn't contain her tears. She swallowed hard, trying to convince herself that no one would ever love or appreciate her, yet she couldn't help but hope for something more from Terry.

Leaving the sitting room to them, she retreated to the maid quarters, greeted by disdainful glances from the other maids.

It was clear she was despised by everyone and everything around her.

“I wonder what goes on in her head,” one maid remarked, brushing her hair with a mocking laugh.

“Oh, hail our queen!” Another chimed in, laughing so hard she nearly fell to the ground.

“I hereby present to you our Omega Luna. Please treat her with the respect and love she deserves!” One mocked, pouring a bottle of milk over Carly's head, causing it to drip down her face.

“Idiot. You think you'll become Luna, huh? You're just dreaming. Face it, you were born to be a slave, a mere breeder for the Alpha!” The maids jeered, pushing her and hitting her with whatever they could find.

“ all of you!” Carly muttered, prompting more laughter. Meanwhile, Andrew the Ravenous beast, who devours people without mercy, lurked close to the other packs. He waited, ready to kill and devour his prey.

Andrew closed in on his targets, his malevolent presence casting a thick shadow over Lamine City. Carly's nightmare was just the beginning, and the looming threat of the beast would bring an even greater challenge to her already tortured existence.
