CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE: The Punishment

“What?” I said looking confused.

Not trying to listen to a word coming out of my mouth Uncle Eddie slapped me really hard across the face. “I feed you, clothed you, basically brought you up and when I think you’d help with my business you thought it would be a good idea to steal from me?” Uncle Eddie yelled again. Walking towards me as I kept crawling back because I was on the floor crying.

“Where is the rest of my money?” Uncle Eddie demanded.

“I didn’t take it, I delivered the package and I got paid and the exact amount I was given was the same amount I brought back.” I explained in tears.

Bending down, Uncle Eddie picked me from the ground. “So Alejandro did this?” He asked. Alejandro was the guy I’d delivered the package to. I nodded in affirmation.
