CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR: FIRST TIME

“What?” I asked surprised and wanting to know why he was staring at me.

“He was abusive?” He said softly, I wanted to ask him who was but I remembered, he was talking about his dad. “He got really mad because my mum wouldn’t sign the inheritance over to him, she signed them to me instead and asked that I took over when I turned 18.” He started explaining. “So must of the time he’d come either drunk or angry and he would hit her so much that she wouldn’t be able to move and I couldn’t do anything, I just watch.” He sighed. “He would send me to my room and lock me up, sometimes for days. Julia and Adrian would sometimes come when he isn’t home and the would keep me company from outside.” He laughed “it was funny, they’d tell me stories and it would feel like I was with them until I fell asleep. Everything was horrible and quite traumatizing but, my mum loved him and he, he only loved her properties.” He finished sharing and I didn’t want to pressure him to share more.
