**ALANNAH** Connor told me we would be leaving for Paris tomorrow, I tried really hard to show my excitement even though I was not really excited, I was scared, scared that my uncle will once again find us and this time he will hurt Connor. I didn’t want Connor in any kind of danger, I feel it’s kind of like my job to protect him now from the danger of my uncle and besides he shouldn’t be caught up in all of this mess. It’s my problem, I should definitely deal with it. I sighed before smiling and cuddling Connor even tighter, he pulled me in and as usual gave me a kiss. Closing my eyes I drifted to sleep. “Good Morning.” Connor said waking me up with a kiss. “It’s Morning?” I asked scratching my eyes like a little girl. “Damn right it is.” Connor answered smiling. “Uhmm, I don’t know what kind of clothes you would wanna pack, so I moved your whole closet in here.” He finished talking. “You did?” I said, getting up and picking out my clothes. “I’m done.”
Dinner went well as everyone was catching up on where we’d left off, forgetting about the attack or my uncle, everything seemed a little bit normal again. We finished eating and we all went to the sitting room and settled for a movie. Adrian and Julia excused themselves before we finished the movie but we stayed through it, when the movie ended we both decided we were going to bed. Connor and I got to our room, pulled off our clothes and had our baths together, we played like little kids laughing, remembering and sharing our funny moments together. We got out of our bath and laid on the bed. “You were about to say something before we had dinner?” He asked. “Oh. That’s nothing, it’s fine. Don’t worry.” I lied as I told him between fake smiles. “You’re sure?” He asked. “Yes, I am very sure.” I nodded before laughing at my attempt to be a child. He laid down and I laid on his chest, listening to the rhythm of his heartbeat and hearing him breath. I closed my eyes.
**CONNOR** “Let’s go see what the girls are up to.” Adrian suggested, we’ve walked together for almost thirty minutes and we were already exhausted, neither of us liked the idea of the camping as the both of us agreed we’d rather stay home but, whatever the girls want, the girls get. I laughed at the thought. “Yeah, Okay.” I agreed and we both walked back to the house, what we’d seen at the entrance shocked us both. Coolers for the drink, a basket of fruit and other food items, bags etc. “uhh, What is going on here?” I asked looking at Adrian and he returned the stare, was also as surprised as I am. “We’re going camping soon, silly.” Julia said and I saw Alannah struggling with a bag, I moved to help her with it. “But, we didn’t think you girls would be ready so soon.” Adrian said, speaking my mind and I nodded in agreement. “Well, we are. You both get ready. We leave soon.” Alannah said, sending Adrian and I upstairs. We got ready not long after, loade
It really was him, he was standing right in front of me and I could only stay and look at him. I looked around in fear, Alannah shouldn’t see him here, it’d further increase her fear. “Don’t worry, they’re not waking up anytime soon.” My dad said reassuring me, I let out a breath of relief before registering what he said fully and I lifted my face to see him smirking at me. “What do you mean?” I asked, clenching my teeth and making my hand to a fist. “You see? Son, I might’ve spiked their drinks with a little something.” He said while taking a step towards me, I also took one back and I look at him. Terrified. “What do you want?” I asked him. “You know what the hell I want. I shouldn’t have to ask, again.” He answered me. “Or your little girlfriend and your best friends gets hurt, now I’m sure you wouldn’t want that.” He finished. “If you do as little as touch them. I will kill you.” I said, overcoming my fear and threatening him with words of my own, th
She saw me staring at her and she immediately gave me a weak smile. We made our way to the big sitting room and we sat and watch TV for a while. “Mummy has somewhere she has to be, Okay? Now you lock the door and do not open until I ask you to, Okay? My mum said, smiling at me, it was a facade because I knew she was in so much pain. I smiled back at her and nodded in understanding. My mum had gone upstairs and she came back with a file in hand, that must’ve been the paper she’d told my Father she’d locked away, it was still in the house and if anything, she was just about to go lock it away. “I’ll be right back.” She said rushing and grabbing her keys, soon, I heard her zoom out of the building into the street. Not long after she was gone, my dad came home, he had a spare key and I knew I needed to run because him getting to meet me while I was watching TV will be terrible for me, I could also get hit and sent to timeout, I ran to my room and hid under the sheet. I heard th
**ALANNAH** I watched Connor as he explained how brutal his father had been to him and his mother, with pity in my eyes for Connor and hatred in my heart for his dad. How could he let him go through something like that? How could his dad treat him like that, I thought as I held him closer and I relaxed under my embrace. “Hmm. Love seem to be in the air.” We heard Adrian say and we immediately turned to look at him. “Boy, it was as if I was drugged. I haven’t slept this long in a while.” He added while also stretching.” And in my mind I’d nodded in agreement. “You really were drugged.” I thought. Julia came out of the tent and we all decided we were going to start packing, before like an alarm, something went off in my head and I wasn’t feeling right. It was like I’d felt something happen, I needed Connor to check on Nanny McPhee and Lisa. “Connor.” I called. “Can you come over here?” I asked him and he did, I took his hand and we both made our way down to where
I need to get a pregnancy test kit. There’s no way I can be pregnant, I can’t possibly be carrying a baby amidst all of these chaos, I’d wait one more week and if I don’t get my period after that, I’ll get the kit and run a test myself. Even Connor doesn’t want a baby now, he didn’t have to tell me before I knew, I saw how he’d froze when I joked back and I instantly knew bringing a baby into this world would be a terrible idea. I was lost in my thought until Julia yelled my name. “What were you thinking, I’ve been calling for a while and you’ve been holding unto that sheet for too long.” She said. “Come on, the boys are done, let’s get to the truck.” She finished and I did not realize I’ve been standing or deep in thought for so long that I didn’t know when they finished packing. “Okay, Coming.” I replied, walking behind her and folding the sheet I had in my hand. I need to occupy myself with something, else I’d lose my mind at the thought of being pregnant. I walked t
“What? What is he doing here?” I turned to Connor and whispered to him. “Apparently. He and a group of other people organized the whole thing.” Connor answered. “We need to leave. Right now!” Connor said, pulling me and the four of us turned to leave. “Hi guys. You are going to miss the fun.” Connor’s dad appeared from nowhere in front of us. “It’s just about to get real interesting and you guys leaving already?” He said again and I felt Connor’s grip tighten, I knew his other hand has already turned into a fist. “It’s none of your business.” Connor snapped, walking past his dad. We got to the opening and the security guards stopped us, making a shield. “Hey. You must be Alannah?” Connor’s dad said, smiling and bringing forth his hands for an handshake, Connor’s tightening grip made me realize he didn’t want me taking his hand. Scared, I ignored the handshake and Mr. Steve dropped his hand. “That’s pretty rude, you know? But I’m not mad.” He said smiling. Julia a
