Chapter 31

Angel’s POV

We finished dining and wining, courtesy of me, and all that was left lingering in the air was silence as we stared at each other.

My husband wore an inquisitive expression on his face. I knew exactly what was going on inside his rocky mind, but I struck not to say anything until he did. Rather not to say anything until he fell asleep.

“Did I tell you thanks? For the food?” He pondered from across the table, picking his teeth.

I sighed softly, running my tiny hands on the table.

“Well, you didn't. But I will take the question as appreciation for my good cooking!”

“Mmh. Thank you!” He mumbled, before a heavy yawn interrupted his precedented continuation.

He frowned at it. It was too early for his bed time, almost three hours!

He flashed a scornful but inquisitive look at me, which I responded with a clueless arch of the eyebrows.

“What?!” I asked, holding my hands up in the air.

“Angel,” he mumbled, roaring. “Why am I yawning?”
