Angel's POV

“Let's go, Aunt Stephie!” I said lowly, ironing my dress with my palms.

“I'm sorry, child. I wanted to tell you, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I didn't even know where I'd start.” She explained.

Aunt Stephie continued.

“But, seeing you here and dying to confront him broke my heart. I'm really sorry I betrayed your trust. You deserved to know!” She muttered, holding her hands together in front of her.

She looked away from my gaze, which wasn't at all condescending. Just despaired.

“It's all right.” I assured, seeing her crack her knuckles anxiously. “Let's just go, I will talk to his tomb instead. That's all I'm worth after all!”

I hissed, my feet already taking me to the door, only to realise Stephie had remained behind, glued to one spot.

I frowned. “Aunt! Let's move so we can go shopping afterwards. There's a lot we need to buy.”

But, she didn't budge.

“Is everything alright?” I pondered, arching my right eyebrow.
