The large hall was filled with many people of high status, all gathered to celebrate Cassie's birthday and the announcement of her engagement with Fredrick. The atmosphere was electric, with chatter and laughter filling the air. Cassie, resplendent in a red dress, was beaming with pride as she mingled with the guests. Her mother, Miriam, was by her side, making sure everything was perfect.

But where was Camille? Mr. George, kept asking Miriam when Camille would arrive.

"Are you certain she's coming? Today is her birthday also, she's supposed to be present. Why isn't she here?"
