As Zemo wakes up in his room in the palace, he takes a moment to gather his thoughts and surroundings. He notices that he's back in his kingdom and the last thing he remembers is being kidnapped by some strange men whom one revealed to him as his son. He tries to get up but his head is pounding, and he feels weak.

He figured that his kidnapper must have sneaked him back the same way they came and there was only one way to have made all this possible without raising an alarm; the secret passage. He saw that the sun had already begun to set and he wondered why the whole palace was till calm and didn’t notice his disappearance.

The door swung open and Silas, his faithful guard came running to him. He was about to bang the door open and start ordering executions here and there but he got calm when he saw Silas.

“Thank goodness you’re okay!” Silas feigned a sigh of relief, and taking a bow.

“What’s going on here, Silas? Why are the other guards not searching for their Alpha?” Zemo was q

Days rolled into weeks, and weeks into months. Silas continues to struggle with his inner demons and every full moon was torture to him as the curse becomes more and more unbearable for him. He had his buddy, Finn by his side at all times. Full moon to him meant, excruciating pain as he would be always poisoned and wounded till he’s an inch closer to death so that before the inner beast would morph and attained power at climax, the night would have been over. But it seemed as though the beast itself is learning to adapt to the pain and recover quickly from the poison as time went by. Last month, Finn had to set more traps and fire arrows laced with wolfs bane to make sure beast Silas did not enter within fifty miles close to the kingdom. They were already getting out of ideas as to how to stop him from attacking the kingdom. Neighbouring villages had already started carrying out rumors that howls louder than that of a normal werewolf has been heard and many of the villages have alrea

Silas and Saul stood still, their hands hovering over their weapons. They had been so focused on finding the book that they hadn't noticed the creatures sneaking up on them."We're just passing through," Saul said, his voice steady. "We mean you no harm."The creatures chuckled, and Silas couldn't help but notice the sharp fangs poking out from under their hoods."Passing through, you say? And you think you can harm us?" one of them said, taking a step closer. "And what brings you to these parts? Are you too cocky or you are downright dumb? Haven’t you heard of the legend of Kedo forest? No one gets out"Silas glanced at Saul, unsure of how to proceed. They had come this far, and he wasn't about to let some hooded creatures stop them now."We’re neither arrogant nor stupid. We’re just desperate. We're looking for the saber-toothed mages," Silas said, his voice steady. "We've heard that they may have information about breaking a curse."The creatures exchanged a look, and Silas could s

SILAS'S POV"What the heck are you talking about"I asked, angrily."What do you mean by what the heck am I talking about? Did you not inquire about this sacred forest before embarking on such a dangerous quest? The implication of going into the forest of Koda is that you can never escape here. It's impossible."Lucien stressed."Why is that?"Saul became the calm one amongst the both of us."Will you care to sit down and learn a little bit of our history?"Heracles asked."Well, I don't see any reason we can't do that. You have literally given us no other choice than to sit down here since we are not going anywhere."I replied.I sat down beside Saul as Lucien, the leader of the sabre toothed sages began to relate."More than five centuries ago, during the time of the great chaos, there was a lot of disorder in the supernatural world. Witches and sorcerers were so knowledgeable and corrupt that they misused and abused the forces of nature. They bent the elements to their will and made

SILAS'S POVI looked into Heracles' eyes and I kept thinking that I must find a way to come out of this trap. I must find a way to go back to my mission. But this is not the right time. I still need to learn a lot. And since this is the greatest hub of knowledge in the supernatural world, why don't I just stay here for as long as I can?"You know I was only teasing you, relax old mage."I said, playfully as I broke the ice."What?"Saul asked me, a bit confused."It's best that we stay here, brother."I said to him,"What do you mean? I can't stay here with these strange creatures!"He protested."What is out there for us, anyway? Outside is full of darkness and lost hope. But here, we can learn a lot and even live like the mages. It's not so bad of a lifestyle."I said, convincingly."Whether you like it or not, you are staying here. We are the only ones that can make you come out of here alive and we have not broken our pact with ourselves in centuries, we will not do it for any oth

I want to know what is in me."I replied."We already said that you need to forget about it."Lucien said."I know what you said and I may not be a three eyed freak like you sages, but I know that you don't really agree to that decision. That's why you will tell me what it it. I will not relax if I don't know what it is."I said.Lucien took a good look at me and breathed deeply. I was fully persuaded that I won't be able to do anything without knowing what the heck is going on."Okay, young

Back in the Moon Pack…SARA'S POVIt's been days since I have seen Silas. And as much as I have told myself that I will not be one that will worry my head about him, I just can't help but be worried for his sake. I know that he has hurt me and he is looking for a way to avoid him, but it doesn't make sense at all that he will leave me in the wind at all.As I walked across the stall, disguised as a commoner, I can't help but have this same nolstagic feeling I have. This is the same place that I met Silas for the very first time. He was sweet and I fell for him with the way he defended the poor little wolf. He was nice and I swear that we had a connection. All was going well until recently after my kidnap. Is he worried or did he blame himself for my kidnap?I kept on asking myself. But the truth is that he really could not have predicted the kind of wolf his uncle truly is.But come to think of it too, how much do I know about Silas? I know very little about how he came to be or where

SARA'S POV"Why do I get the feeling that this is about Silas?"His expression changed and I can no longer recognise my father."I…."I stammered. I did not know what to say."Go on with it."Father encouraged me."I just wanted to know your stand with mother. You don't seem to really love her. Haven't you ever been in love?"I asked him.He breathed deeply and sighed. It's as though I brought back a bad memory to him."Sara, I have once loved. There was a wolf I loved with my entire heart. Sadly, our love was not permitted because it is not the standard of our kingdom to marry wolves that are not nobles. So, we didn't work out."Father said."And you married Luna Veronica. And where is this she wolf you wanted to marry?"I asked, full of inquisition."She's not around anymore."He said, sadly."Really? Where did she go to?"I continued probing but by this time, father has had it already."Enough of the chit chat. There is no need to talk about this. You were here for something, what

Back in the forest of Koda…SILAS' POV"Your first task that you are to do here is to study."Lucien said."Study?"I asked. I have never been asked to study in my life. All I have known how to do is to fight and I was really good at it."What the heck am I studying about? You said that I need to learn how to convert my gift into a curse. And by doing that, I will need to learn how to control the elements. So what do I need studying for?"I asked."You are already a skilled wolf and a skilled mage, Silas. However, you lack one thing. You lack the discipline of character. You will learn that here. And, although I am in charge, Mark will be your supervisor."Lucien announced and left. What the hell is going on?I asked myself."What am I going to do?"Saul called after Lucien."Come along with me, Saul. You need to learn how to fight."He replied as Saul excitedly left with him. What the hell just happened? I'm the one that a freaking bomb has been activated on me, yet I'm the one that

SARA'S POV “So, what do you want to do? Is he going to be your new heir? Or will you just leave him be?”I asked my father as I closed my eyes. I don't even know what to think anymore.“I really do not know. I am scared.”He responded to me. I obviously did not expect that answer from him.“Well, that's the first.”I commented.“Yea.”My father responded. I shifted my gaze back to him.“I want to ask you a sincere question.”“I’m all ears.”“How long have you known that Silas was your son? And is that the reason why you were hell bent on trying to separate us from the onset?”When I asked the question, he shifted his body to face me too. I want to say that this is the closest time I have ever being intimate with my father. I can feel that he can tell me absolutely anything that I ask of him tonight with very little resistance.“I have never known or had the slightest idea that Silas was my son up until the day we got attacked by that creature. SARA'S POV As I moved closer to the infirmary and I was about to enter the entrance, I was accosted by one of the nurses that worked there. She looked very frantic and apprehensive. “What is it, Jane? I thought I asked you not to leave the Alpha's side for a minute. Why are you here?”I demanded from her. “I'm sorry, my princess, but you said that I should not leave the Alpha unless it is an emergency and I'm afraid this is an emergency.”She replied. I did not wait for her to complete her statement. I just pushed her aside and walked to the room where my father was staying and I could not help but be worried about what I would find there. The last time I left his side, there was almost no change in his condition at all and he had slipped back into coma after muttering Silas' name several times. What if he has given up the ghost? There will be a lot of unanswered questions. When I got to the room, instead of seeing an empty bed or father being covered in sheets, I saw him awake and

  • A Warrior's Vengeance   Chapter seventy three: My wolf and I

SILAS'S POV It felt so refreshing to always have a voice that you can communicate with back and forth. A voice that, although is quite aggressive, but will always have your best interest at heart. I will no longer deal with any form of quietness again. It felt oddly peaceful too. But I will get used to it as soon as possible.I looked around the springs of Zadia. The fountain where I drank from said that I would be hallucinating for days, so if this is real and I'm out of the hallucination phase, this would literally mean that I have spent way longer time than I intended to spend here. I needed to catch up.“Are you ready, wolf? I think I need to give you a name, don't you think?”I asked him.“Whatever you say.”“What kind of name do I give you..?”I was thinking, then I remembered the colour of my wolf. I loved how dark and shinny he was when I met him in the void. I know that I just had to give him a unique name. And I think I have just found the name!“I know what I will give you

  • A Warrior's Vengeance   Chapter Seventy two: The battle between selves

SILAS'S POV I stood there, starring at my own image. A reflection of myself.“Wow! It's just like staring in the mirror.”He sneered at me.“What is the meaning of this?”I asked. “You can't simply move on if you have not defeated me. I am your alter ego. You will need to kill me to gain control. But you know what? Your alter ego has all your strengths and lacks all your weaknesses. Strength, the ability not to hold back, lack of empathy and emotions, I have them all. That is what will always make me stronger than you.”He said, drawing out his sword from the thin air, ready to strike me.“Don't be too sure about that, Silas 2.0. I will do anything to get out of here.”I responded, fashioning out my won sword from the thin air, also ready to strike myself. We looked deeply into each other and we ran towards each other to attack. Our blades struck each other and made a vibrating sound that echoed all round the entire void. The battle between selves has begun. The energy from the blad

  • A Warrior's Vengeance   Chapter Seventy one: Awakening

SARA'S POV I paced to and fro all day in my bedroom. I had left the infirmary, telling the nurse to keep a close guide on my father as I wanted to take a break. I had hardly left his side for more than two hours since the incident. This is day four already and it looks still the same. I hope Silas comes very soon. But that was not the very bane of my restlessness this afternoon. Bea had gone to school for young and royally wolves so I had time all to myself. The reason for my worry was the last statement father has uttered in his sleep yesterday's evening. He mentioned three names; in which two of them are unfamiliar. He mentioned Althea and Saul with Silas. But I knew that I must have heard of Althea before. It sounded like a name that I must have come across before. Where have I heard that name from?It suddenly clicked to me. There is the story of a brave and young warrior and werewolf that was told in our Luna school. The first female celebrated war hero in the Moon Pack kingdom.

SILAS'S POV“You are not the saviour of the world; you are the saviour of the witches. You are the Hannuk.”Agnes laughter echoed around the void, so did the others that were with her too. This was a very uncomfortable situation, but I will find a way.“So, what now?”I asked her.“Now, we are glad that we lured you here. This will give us the full ground to possess your body and you will be just like a puppet to bring salvation to my own tribe.”They began to laugh hysterically again. They just basked in the laughter that I even began to chuckle too. When they were done, I started my own round of laughter too. This made them all quiet and Agnes looked quite confused. She didn't know what game I was playing. Even I did not know what I was doing at that moment. I just needed to stall to find the right hack.“What are you doing?”Agnes asked me.“Well, I'm laughing. Am I not supposed to laugh at the whole joke that is going on all around?”I asked.“What joke?”She asked.“All I know is

SILAS'S POV “So, this is the void?”I asked the truth seeker as I stared at the endless space of nothingness around me.“Welcome to the void.”He said to me as he spread out his arms. I still was a bit confused.“What do I do from here?”I asked.“Me? I'm done with my assignment. My assignment was to make this journey easier for you by facing the truth. Now that you have faced the truth, my work is now done. I wish you success in your quest.”He said to me and disappeared quickly before I could even protest.“Great! Now, I'm stuck here.”I said, staring around with no idea of what to do at all. I looked all around trying to look for clues, but everything stayed the same. There was nothing that I saw that was different.“I need to keep going anyway. I need to do something.”I said to myself as I moved on. I just kept walking in the endless void. What am I supposed to be doing here in the first place? I am supposed to find a way to separate every parts of me and find a way to master ho

SARA'S POV “I will never let anything happen to you. Not Silas, not the Luna or anyone else. I'm here for you all the way.”I was saying to my own father as I looked at him. I can't believe that I almost absconded with Silas a few weeks ago because I was upset with him. What if something worse had happened to him when we left? Why if Silas was not there to protect him because I was just selfish and wanted him all to myself?“I'm sorry, father. I'm sorry for trying to run away. I don't know what I was thinking.”I said, crying to him. Now to think of it, how much can I even trust Silas? Is that why he changed his behaviour towards me when he first found out that I'm his sister? Or am I just truly imagining things? Is he really my own half brother? If that is true, it has got to be very sickening and any feelings I have for him my be dropped now.“No! He can't be my brother.”I said, decisively. I have really fallen for him too much to believe that he may actually even be my brother. I

SARA'S POV Silas has been gone for two days and all I could do was stay by father's side. The report of his health was still the same. He was still steadily improving, but he didn't show any signs yet. I barely ate and slept because of how worried I was of my father. Yet, all what the Luna did was to handle all the affairs of the Moon Pack kingdom without letting father's subjects know about his condition. Many of them had no reason to suspect anything because this is not the first time she was acting on the behalf of father, so they saw it as one of those days. The Luna had only visited father once, and just for a few minutes and returned back to her chambers instructing them to inform her if there was a change in situation with him.“You are aware that people handle grief differently, right?”Gaius, the head physician mentioned to me after he must have noticed how upset I must have looked at her. I did not respond to him, but just managed to smile. He has no idea of who my mother i
