Silas followed the witch into the dark, ominous cave. The air grew colder and damper with every step, and the faint scent of burnt herbs and incense filled his nostrils. His heart pounded in his chest as he wondered what the witch had in store for him. After walking for what felt like hours, they finally arrived at a cave entrance. The witch led him inside, and he found himself in a large chamber where two more witches were waiting for them.As they entered a large cavern, Silas could see that it was lit by hundreds of flickering candles arranged in a circle around a large crystal ball in the center. The two more witches stood on either side of the crystal ball, their faces obscured by shadows. The two witches greeted the first witch, who introduced Silas as the one who had come to rescue Sara. They then began to chant and cast spells over a large crystal ball that was sitting in the center of the chamber. The three of them chanted in a language Silas couldn't understand, their voic
Silas sat alone in his chamber, staring blankly at the wall in front of him. His mind was racing with thoughts and emotions that he couldn't quite make sense of. He had just learned the truth about Alex, someone he had trusted and respected for so long, and it had shattered him to his core. He had barely gotten over the shock of learning Alex's true motives, and now he had to face the witch once more to honor his end of the deal. It had been a difficult decision to make, but he couldn't risk putting Sara in danger any longer. As he was lost in thought, there was a knock on his door. It was Alpha Zemo, the king of the Moon Pack Kingdom. Silas was surprised to see him there, but he welcomed him inside. They sat down on the couch, Silas nodded, and Alpha Zemo walked into the room and closed the door behind him. They sat in silence for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts. The alpha's presence was comforting. It was almost as though he was seating with his father. Then Alpha Zemo beg
One thing Silas knew as he journeyed back to the Moon Pack Kingdom was that he sensed the energy within him was getting stronger. As little as hitting his foot on a stone or scratching his skin amongst the thorn in the bush made him want to vent out his anger with tremendous pain. After some days, he decided to turn his back and seek help. In as much as he hated his father for what he did to his mother, he still wanted to have a kingdom to rule when he was through with ending Alpha Zemo’s life. One thing he knew about magic and the dark arts is that no matter how foolproof, there’s always a loophole; and that’s what Silas will get. Silas set out on his journey, determined to find a sorcerer who could help him control his powers or remove the curse. He left the destroyed coven behind, feeling a mixture of relief and guilt for what he had done. As he walked through the forest, Silas couldn't help but feel the weight of his actions on his shoulders. He had always known he was different
At the Moon Pack Kingdom, After the Rescue of Sara….. The entire Moon Pack Kingdom has been on edge after the rescue of Sara. Zemo personally supervised the reinforcements of the bars at the doors and windows of the palace chambers. He doubled the palace guards and made a strict policy to have only invited guests and residents in the palace surroundings. Sara was put under compulsory bed rest and was attended to by Gaius, the court physician. Two guards were stationed at her door and would intrude at the slightest sound of a disturbance in the room. Flora, her maid servant was her only company. She was the only one around that did not take her as a precious artifact that needs to be preserved and protected but a friend that needs comfort. After over a week of complaining and bickering to her father, she was allowed to walk freely in the palace premises; and as Sara walked slowly down the halls of the court premises, her heart heavy with worry and concern. She had been in her chamber
Finn, who had been on a quest for several weeks now, searching for his friend and colleague, Silas, stood facing Silas, with his eyes transfixed. Sara had tasked Finn with finding Silas and bringing him home but he was not sure this kind of creature could brought home. As Finn had wandered through the outskirts of a nearby village, he stumbled upon Silas. Finn noticed that Silas looked different than he remembered. His eyes were bloodshot, and his face was covered in scars. Silas looked up and recognized Finn immediately. "Finn," Silas said, his voice hoarse. "I'm glad you found me." Finn was shocked by Silas's appearance. "What happened to you, Silas? Why do you look like this?" Silas sighed heavily. "It's a long story, Finn. I was cursed at birth, and it's been haunting me my entire life. I thought I had control over it, but the witch who cursed me had other plans. She wanted to use my curse to make the witches the apex predators in the land." Finn's eyes widened in disbelief.
Silas paces back and forth in the forest, his mind racing with conflicting thoughts and emotions. He was just few kilometers away from the dungeon after his visit to Alex. But now, after what Alex had told him, he didn’t know if he should believe him or not. If Alex had truly told him the truth concerning his involvement in placing the curse on him; who else would have put the curse on him if not his father? As Silas processes this new information, he feels a range of conflicting emotions. Part of him wants to deny it, to cling to the hope that his father could never have done something so terrible. But another part of him feels a deep sense of betrayal, as if everything he thought he knew about his father has been a lie. Silas is torn between these two emotions, unsure of what to do next. He wants to confront the Alpha, his father, to demand answers and make sense of what he's just learned. Should he try to find out more information on his own? Or should he just try to ignore it a
Silas and Finn arrived the next day. To Silas, it was as though, he had been gone for years, although it was barely just a month. He could see the extra security measures the Alpha had gone to put there. For every one guard that was put in place, the chief guard had replaced with two extra guards. Almost all blind spots have been taken care of. The city now appears impregnable to any form of attacks, kidnapping or assassination. Silas knew that kidnapping the Alpha King would be a dangerous and risky move, but he was willing to do whatever it takes to uncover the truth and find a way to control his curse. One thing that Silas knew was that he wouldn’t be able to single handedly pull off this operation. He would need to entrust his plans to someone. He looked at Finn who had been by his side all this while and considered if he would be able to trust him with his grandest plan of all. Of course, Finn had proven to be a worthy friend to Silas time and again. His loyalty to him was prove
It took a while for Alpha Zemo to take in the information. After what seemed like an eternity of silence, the Alpha King burst out, laughing uncontrollably. When he regained his composure after a while, he looked with a stern face “Sure, you’re my son. If you think you’re the only one in this kingdom with a minute semblance of me that has come to accuse me of being their father, then you’re more delusional than I thought. There will be no form of compensation I will give you because any minute from now, my soldiers will snuff my scent out, barge in and your prank will cost you your life” Zemo swore. Saul who was the only one that revealed his face gave a sly smile. Silas hid in the far corner of the room in the darkness. He wasn’t ready to reveal his identity to his father as his mission was far from complete. Saul looked and spoke softly to Zemo “I’m not here for your trinkets and change you think you have. My mother was Althea; the famous warrior whom you shared moments with you i
SILAS'S POV I was startled to see my twin in the Moon Pack kingdom. Beyond all reason, he should not be here.“Hello, brother. Do you miss me?”Saul repeated.“Oh, no! This is not real. I must be dreaming like before. This must be a bad bad dream.”I said, while holding my head as if trying to come out of an hallucination but I somehow, I know that this is different. This is real.“Oh, I promise you brother. This is not a dream. So, tell me. How have you been?”He asked me.“What are you doing here, Saul? Why did you have to kill these people?”I demanded him.“You know, let me give you a short background story so that maybe you will understand why I did what I did.”He started, even as he held our father hostage. I couldn't move an inch because I know that Saul must have gotten so powerful to be able to take down all these wolves all on his own. I can't trust myself to be able to rescue father before it was too late. I had no other choice than to indulge him.“When I got out of the
SILAS'S POV “Do you want me to tell you a secret, father?”I asked him as I moved closer to him.“Long before you met with Zen, I had already found a solution to my curse. The curse made me stronger and faster. Although I was out of control, but I found my way around it. I got to be better than I was father. And do you know why? It's because one day I was going to face you. And I was going to tell you that you are the reason why I am like this.”I said to him.“I want to ask you a question, son. Where is Saul? Where is your twin? Did he also agree to this madness?”He asked. “That is not your concern now. Your own concern should be how you are going die well.”I responded.Suddenly the door opened and I rushed to father's said and held him by the neck. Before he could move himself, I cautioned him.“There's a pin I'm holding close to your neck. It's called the devil's pin. I'm sure that you have heard of it before, right? Any sudden movement and I am it to your neck. This time, no c
SILAS'S POV “Grisha.”I called out to the chief's guard. He wanted to blatantly ignore me, but I kept on calling his name, irrespective. He got frustrated and turned to me.“Beta Silas, when someone does not respond to you, it clearly means that they want to have nothing to do with you.”He said to me, angrily.“I know that, but J really need to confirm something with you.”I said to him. It was obvious that I was not going to let him rest until I have spoken my mind to him, so he allowed me to talk.“What is it?”He asked me.“For how long was I gone for?”The expression on his face showed that he really think that there was something wrong with him.“What is wrong with you?”He asked me.“Would you believe me if I told you that I have no idea how long I was gone for? Would you believe if I told you that I was probably knocked out for most of my journey home?”I asked him.“I see that you always have the perfect excuse for every situation. You just need to thank the gods that the Al
SARA'S POV “So, what do you want to do? Is he going to be your new heir? Or will you just leave him be?”I asked my father as I closed my eyes. I don't even know what to think anymore.“I really do not know. I am scared.”He responded to me. I obviously did not expect that answer from him.“Well, that's the first.”I commented.“Yea.”My father responded. I shifted my gaze back to him.“I want to ask you a sincere question.”“I’m all ears.”“How long have you known that Silas was your son? And is that the reason why you were hell bent on trying to separate us from the onset?”When I asked the question, he shifted his body to face me too. I want to say that this is the closest time I have ever being intimate with my father. I can feel that he can tell me absolutely anything that I ask of him tonight with very little resistance.“I have never known or had the slightest idea that Silas was my son up until the day we got attacked by that creature. I have always felt like he was like a so
SARA'S POV As I moved closer to the infirmary and I was about to enter the entrance, I was accosted by one of the nurses that worked there. She looked very frantic and apprehensive. “What is it, Jane? I thought I asked you not to leave the Alpha's side for a minute. Why are you here?”I demanded from her. “I'm sorry, my princess, but you said that I should not leave the Alpha unless it is an emergency and I'm afraid this is an emergency.”She replied. I did not wait for her to complete her statement. I just pushed her aside and walked to the room where my father was staying and I could not help but be worried about what I would find there. The last time I left his side, there was almost no change in his condition at all and he had slipped back into coma after muttering Silas' name several times. What if he has given up the ghost? There will be a lot of unanswered questions. When I got to the room, instead of seeing an empty bed or father being covered in sheets, I saw him awake and
SILAS'S POV It felt so refreshing to always have a voice that you can communicate with back and forth. A voice that, although is quite aggressive, but will always have your best interest at heart. I will no longer deal with any form of quietness again. It felt oddly peaceful too. But I will get used to it as soon as possible.I looked around the springs of Zadia. The fountain where I drank from said that I would be hallucinating for days, so if this is real and I'm out of the hallucination phase, this would literally mean that I have spent way longer time than I intended to spend here. I needed to catch up.“Are you ready, wolf? I think I need to give you a name, don't you think?”I asked him.“Whatever you say.”“What kind of name do I give you..?”I was thinking, then I remembered the colour of my wolf. I loved how dark and shinny he was when I met him in the void. I know that I just had to give him a unique name. And I think I have just found the name!“I know what I will give you
SILAS'S POV I stood there, starring at my own image. A reflection of myself.“Wow! It's just like staring in the mirror.”He sneered at me.“What is the meaning of this?”I asked. “You can't simply move on if you have not defeated me. I am your alter ego. You will need to kill me to gain control. But you know what? Your alter ego has all your strengths and lacks all your weaknesses. Strength, the ability not to hold back, lack of empathy and emotions, I have them all. That is what will always make me stronger than you.”He said, drawing out his sword from the thin air, ready to strike me.“Don't be too sure about that, Silas 2.0. I will do anything to get out of here.”I responded, fashioning out my won sword from the thin air, also ready to strike myself. We looked deeply into each other and we ran towards each other to attack. Our blades struck each other and made a vibrating sound that echoed all round the entire void. The battle between selves has begun. The energy from the blad
SARA'S POV I paced to and fro all day in my bedroom. I had left the infirmary, telling the nurse to keep a close guide on my father as I wanted to take a break. I had hardly left his side for more than two hours since the incident. This is day four already and it looks still the same. I hope Silas comes very soon. But that was not the very bane of my restlessness this afternoon. Bea had gone to school for young and royally wolves so I had time all to myself. The reason for my worry was the last statement father has uttered in his sleep yesterday's evening. He mentioned three names; in which two of them are unfamiliar. He mentioned Althea and Saul with Silas. But I knew that I must have heard of Althea before. It sounded like a name that I must have come across before. Where have I heard that name from?It suddenly clicked to me. There is the story of a brave and young warrior and werewolf that was told in our Luna school. The first female celebrated war hero in the Moon Pack kingdom.
SILAS'S POV“You are not the saviour of the world; you are the saviour of the witches. You are the Hannuk.”Agnes laughter echoed around the void, so did the others that were with her too. This was a very uncomfortable situation, but I will find a way.“So, what now?”I asked her.“Now, we are glad that we lured you here. This will give us the full ground to possess your body and you will be just like a puppet to bring salvation to my own tribe.”They began to laugh hysterically again. They just basked in the laughter that I even began to chuckle too. When they were done, I started my own round of laughter too. This made them all quiet and Agnes looked quite confused. She didn't know what game I was playing. Even I did not know what I was doing at that moment. I just needed to stall to find the right hack.“What are you doing?”Agnes asked me.“Well, I'm laughing. Am I not supposed to laugh at the whole joke that is going on all around?”I asked.“What joke?”She asked.“All I know is
