Silas paces back and forth in the forest, his mind racing with conflicting thoughts and emotions. He was just few kilometers away from the dungeon after his visit to Alex. But now, after what Alex had told him, he didn’t know if he should believe him or not. If Alex had truly told him the truth concerning his involvement in placing the curse on him; who else would have put the curse on him if not his father? As Silas processes this new information, he feels a range of conflicting emotions. Part of him wants to deny it, to cling to the hope that his father could never have done something so terrible. But another part of him feels a deep sense of betrayal, as if everything he thought he knew about his father has been a lie. Silas is torn between these two emotions, unsure of what to do next. He wants to confront the Alpha, his father, to demand answers and make sense of what he's just learned. Should he try to find out more information on his own? Or should he just try to ignore it a
Silas and Finn arrived the next day. To Silas, it was as though, he had been gone for years, although it was barely just a month. He could see the extra security measures the Alpha had gone to put there. For every one guard that was put in place, the chief guard had replaced with two extra guards. Almost all blind spots have been taken care of. The city now appears impregnable to any form of attacks, kidnapping or assassination. Silas knew that kidnapping the Alpha King would be a dangerous and risky move, but he was willing to do whatever it takes to uncover the truth and find a way to control his curse. One thing that Silas knew was that he wouldn’t be able to single handedly pull off this operation. He would need to entrust his plans to someone. He looked at Finn who had been by his side all this while and considered if he would be able to trust him with his grandest plan of all. Of course, Finn had proven to be a worthy friend to Silas time and again. His loyalty to him was prove
It took a while for Alpha Zemo to take in the information. After what seemed like an eternity of silence, the Alpha King burst out, laughing uncontrollably. When he regained his composure after a while, he looked with a stern face “Sure, you’re my son. If you think you’re the only one in this kingdom with a minute semblance of me that has come to accuse me of being their father, then you’re more delusional than I thought. There will be no form of compensation I will give you because any minute from now, my soldiers will snuff my scent out, barge in and your prank will cost you your life” Zemo swore. Saul who was the only one that revealed his face gave a sly smile. Silas hid in the far corner of the room in the darkness. He wasn’t ready to reveal his identity to his father as his mission was far from complete. Saul looked and spoke softly to Zemo “I’m not here for your trinkets and change you think you have. My mother was Althea; the famous warrior whom you shared moments with you i
As Zemo wakes up in his room in the palace, he takes a moment to gather his thoughts and surroundings. He notices that he's back in his kingdom and the last thing he remembers is being kidnapped by some strange men whom one revealed to him as his son. He tries to get up but his head is pounding, and he feels weak. He figured that his kidnapper must have sneaked him back the same way they came and there was only one way to have made all this possible without raising an alarm; the secret passage. He saw that the sun had already begun to set and he wondered why the whole palace was till calm and didn’t notice his disappearance. The door swung open and Silas, his faithful guard came running to him. He was about to bang the door open and start ordering executions here and there but he got calm when he saw Silas. “Thank goodness you’re okay!” Silas feigned a sigh of relief, and taking a bow. “What’s going on here, Silas? Why are the other guards not searching for their Alpha?” Zemo was q
Days rolled into weeks, and weeks into months. Silas continues to struggle with his inner demons and every full moon was torture to him as the curse becomes more and more unbearable for him. He had his buddy, Finn by his side at all times. Full moon to him meant, excruciating pain as he would be always poisoned and wounded till he’s an inch closer to death so that before the inner beast would morph and attained power at climax, the night would have been over. But it seemed as though the beast itself is learning to adapt to the pain and recover quickly from the poison as time went by. Last month, Finn had to set more traps and fire arrows laced with wolfs bane to make sure beast Silas did not enter within fifty miles close to the kingdom. They were already getting out of ideas as to how to stop him from attacking the kingdom. Neighbouring villages had already started carrying out rumors that howls louder than that of a normal werewolf has been heard and many of the villages have alrea
Silas and Saul stood still, their hands hovering over their weapons. They had been so focused on finding the book that they hadn't noticed the creatures sneaking up on them."We're just passing through," Saul said, his voice steady. "We mean you no harm."The creatures chuckled, and Silas couldn't help but notice the sharp fangs poking out from under their hoods."Passing through, you say? And you think you can harm us?" one of them said, taking a step closer. "And what brings you to these parts? Are you too cocky or you are downright dumb? Haven’t you heard of the legend of Kedo forest? No one gets out"Silas glanced at Saul, unsure of how to proceed. They had come this far, and he wasn't about to let some hooded creatures stop them now."We’re neither arrogant nor stupid. We’re just desperate. We're looking for the saber-toothed mages," Silas said, his voice steady. "We've heard that they may have information about breaking a curse."The creatures exchanged a look, and Silas could s
SILAS'S POV"What the heck are you talking about"I asked, angrily."What do you mean by what the heck am I talking about? Did you not inquire about this sacred forest before embarking on such a dangerous quest? The implication of going into the forest of Koda is that you can never escape here. It's impossible."Lucien stressed."Why is that?"Saul became the calm one amongst the both of us."Will you care to sit down and learn a little bit of our history?"Heracles asked."Well, I don't see any reason we can't do that. You have literally given us no other choice than to sit down here since we are not going anywhere."I replied.I sat down beside Saul as Lucien, the leader of the sabre toothed sages began to relate."More than five centuries ago, during the time of the great chaos, there was a lot of disorder in the supernatural world. Witches and sorcerers were so knowledgeable and corrupt that they misused and abused the forces of nature. They bent the elements to their will and made
SILAS'S POVI looked into Heracles' eyes and I kept thinking that I must find a way to come out of this trap. I must find a way to go back to my mission. But this is not the right time. I still need to learn a lot. And since this is the greatest hub of knowledge in the supernatural world, why don't I just stay here for as long as I can?"You know I was only teasing you, relax old mage."I said, playfully as I broke the ice."What?"Saul asked me, a bit confused."It's best that we stay here, brother."I said to him,"What do you mean? I can't stay here with these strange creatures!"He protested."What is out there for us, anyway? Outside is full of darkness and lost hope. But here, we can learn a lot and even live like the mages. It's not so bad of a lifestyle."I said, convincingly."Whether you like it or not, you are staying here. We are the only ones that can make you come out of here alive and we have not broken our pact with ourselves in centuries, we will not do it for any oth
