SILAS'S POV The next morning was buzzing with activities. Most of the wolves were confused, while the others were very angry. They did not understand why the Alpha decided to spare Zen. Never had they ever seen a sabertooth mage, neither did they even know what they are.“What is that thing?”“It even killed five guards this morning.”“I thought that that thing was after Beta Silas.”“Why did he kill Finn yesterday too?”“Why have we not gotten our revenge yet?”These were the many unanswered questions that were flying around that day. No one even had the courage to face me and challenge me. I was not even in the mood for that at all. All I was bothered with is the content of what the mage and father were discussing about. Zen looked like he recognised me somehow. He said that he wants to finish the job. But, is he really after me? Is he really her to kill me? How much will he tell father? There was only one way to get my answers. It is to sneak into the dungeon and ask him myself. T
SARA'S POV It's been over two weeks since Damon's passing. I have to get back on my feet. Even though I promised myself that I don't have any sort of feelings for him, he won my heart too late because he is now dead. I will never forget the times he stood by me and also made it possible that I adopted Bea. Bea did not really understand that Damon is gone yet, but she knew that something had happened and she stayed with me throughout the way, not asking too many questions about her soon to be father.Sometimes, I still have dreams and I will see Damon smiling at me and telling me that everything is okay with him. Most times, the words he will be communicating to me will not be so clear. It will be as if he is warning me about something that is to come. I will get confused, seeing his lips moving, but no words coming out. I will wake up with fear and tears and Bea will just hold me while I cried in her arms.Any time I crossed paths with Silas, I will behave as though I do not know him
SILAS'S POV I sat there, motionless as I pondered on Sara's proposal.“Let's elope from here. Let's start a new life. You, me and Bea. We can even take Evans with us. I can see that you are very close to him.”She said with excitement in her voice. I sat up and cleared my throat.“Sara, where's this coming from? I'm quite confused and concerned. Why do you suddenly think that we need to leave Moon Pack kingdom?”I asked her. She kept quiet for a while before speaking.“I see the way my father looks at us. He will never approve of it. We need to think about ourselves for a change.”She insisted.“I understand you, Sara. But this can't work now. Your father's life is still being threatened and he needs to be protected.”I tried explaining to her but she would not hear it.“You have been risking your life for him ever since and you have almost gotten yourself killed. You need to think about what you want. About what we want. You need to do this. We need to do this. I'm ready to leave ev
SILAS'S POV I woke up a few hours later. It was already getting dark. The sun was already setting and I needed to go. I sat there for a few seconds, trying to gather my thoughts. I looked around for the orb, but all I could find was the pieces of the shattered glass. The orb was nowhere to be found anymore. I decided to climb out of the hole. I'd figure out what happened on the way back home. I took the rope and I began to climb up. I stopped and looked at the top of the hole and just imagined for a second that I can reach the top and I noticed myself that I was already floating to the top. I was frightened and I plummeted down to the bottom of the hole again. It was ten I remembered what happened to me a few hours ago. The content of the witches magic had entered into me when I was trying an advanced spell. Now it looked like I could do things from my imagination even though I did not understand it at all.So, I tried it again. I tried picturing myself floating up to the top. Soon
SILAS'S POV When we reached the highest point of the mountain, he faced the sun and breathed in and out deeply. I was a bit exhausted, but I wouldn't dare show him that I was. It also seemed good to face the warmth of the sun as the winter air blew softly on my skin to subtly give a reminder that winter is coming.“You know.”Father began.“When I was a little older than you, my father took me up to this mountain and did something to me that I will never forget for the rest of my life.”Why is he talking like this? Did Zen tell Zemo that I am his son? What is he message that father is trying to pass along? I only need to be patient to hear him out.“What my father did to me, that is what I am going to do to you.”His expression had changed all of a sudden.“Like you, I was obnoxious and I did not regret my actions. I was entitled and I thought the world revolves around me. That was why I could sleep with the top and most skilled warrior in our clan even though she was supposed to be
SILAS'S POV When I witnessed Zen stab my father, there was an awakened rage that rose from inside of me. Even though Zen held a dagger to me, threatening me, I did not care at all. Everything I have laboured to keep within me for months. The monsters and the darkness just rose. Even though I hated my father, I secretly loved him and I could not imagine someone but me hurting me.I pushed Zen backwards tens of metres away from me with the force as I levitated. The weather changed quickly and the sky turned gray. Lightning flashed as I thundered with a thousand voices.“The creation will end his creator.” I flashed a bolt of lightning to him, but he blocked it. “I will not fear. For fear is the mind killer. I will not fear, for fear is the mind killer. I will not fear, for fear is the mind killer.”I heard him say. I rushed at him and grabbed him by his neck and rose higher and higher. He tried stabbing ne with the knife, but it was not going through at all.“The orb. It's in you.”He
SARA'S POV I stood there, as I watched as Silas left. A few seconds ago, he whispered some things to my ear tat got me puzzled.“I want you to listen to me closely. I do not trust anyone here. Some people would have gotten wind of your father's condition and will try to murder him. But as long as that pendant is around his neck, he will be fine. Do not let anyone remove it from his neck and do not take your eyes away from him. Don't let anyone know about this too. I will be back for you.”After delivering the message to me, he left me. I did not know how to react to what I had just heard. Is anyone trying to kill my father? If yes, why would they want to? I recovered after a few minutes and resumed to sit by my father and watch him all through.“Why don't you take some rest? We have got it from here?”One of the physicians encouraged me, but I will not let that happen. Not on my watch.“I'm okay here. I'll be okay, by watching my father recover.”I responded.“I'm just saying that i
SILAS'S POV I paced around my chambers. It has been over three days that father has been in a comatose state. There has been a slow, but steady improvement in the Alpha's health. The poison was a very lethal one, so it is taking a while for his body to reject it. What will then happen when he wakes up and realises that I have been his son all the while? Will he banish me like he did my mother or will he have me executed? As much as I'm worried about that, I'm also worried about my own self. It has been days since my inner beast was unleashed and the darkness of the orb came out too, I need to find a way to keep it at bay again. I need to find the springs of Zadia again. It's only a few days to winter and I have been kept on a strict surveillance. How will I be able to get out of the kingdom without being stopped or followed? I don't know how to do it at all.The only way I can do that is by taking the secret tunnel in the Alpha's chambers. It was the same one that Saul and I used to
SILAS'S POV It felt so refreshing to always have a voice that you can communicate with back and forth. A voice that, although is quite aggressive, but will always have your best interest at heart. I will no longer deal with any form of quietness again. It felt oddly peaceful too. But I will get used to it as soon as possible.I looked around the springs of Zadia. The fountain where I drank from said that I would be hallucinating for days, so if this is real and I'm out of the hallucination phase, this would literally mean that I have spent way longer time than I intended to spend here. I needed to catch up.“Are you ready, wolf? I think I need to give you a name, don't you think?”I asked him.“Whatever you say.”“What kind of name do I give you..?”I was thinking, then I remembered the colour of my wolf. I loved how dark and shinny he was when I met him in the void. I know that I just had to give him a unique name. And I think I have just found the name!“I know what I will give you
SILAS'S POV I stood there, starring at my own image. A reflection of myself.“Wow! It's just like staring in the mirror.”He sneered at me.“What is the meaning of this?”I asked. “You can't simply move on if you have not defeated me. I am your alter ego. You will need to kill me to gain control. But you know what? Your alter ego has all your strengths and lacks all your weaknesses. Strength, the ability not to hold back, lack of empathy and emotions, I have them all. That is what will always make me stronger than you.”He said, drawing out his sword from the thin air, ready to strike me.“Don't be too sure about that, Silas 2.0. I will do anything to get out of here.”I responded, fashioning out my won sword from the thin air, also ready to strike myself. We looked deeply into each other and we ran towards each other to attack. Our blades struck each other and made a vibrating sound that echoed all round the entire void. The battle between selves has begun. The energy from the blad
SARA'S POV I paced to and fro all day in my bedroom. I had left the infirmary, telling the nurse to keep a close guide on my father as I wanted to take a break. I had hardly left his side for more than two hours since the incident. This is day four already and it looks still the same. I hope Silas comes very soon. But that was not the very bane of my restlessness this afternoon. Bea had gone to school for young and royally wolves so I had time all to myself. The reason for my worry was the last statement father has uttered in his sleep yesterday's evening. He mentioned three names; in which two of them are unfamiliar. He mentioned Althea and Saul with Silas. But I knew that I must have heard of Althea before. It sounded like a name that I must have come across before. Where have I heard that name from?It suddenly clicked to me. There is the story of a brave and young warrior and werewolf that was told in our Luna school. The first female celebrated war hero in the Moon Pack kingdom.
SILAS'S POV“You are not the saviour of the world; you are the saviour of the witches. You are the Hannuk.”Agnes laughter echoed around the void, so did the others that were with her too. This was a very uncomfortable situation, but I will find a way.“So, what now?”I asked her.“Now, we are glad that we lured you here. This will give us the full ground to possess your body and you will be just like a puppet to bring salvation to my own tribe.”They began to laugh hysterically again. They just basked in the laughter that I even began to chuckle too. When they were done, I started my own round of laughter too. This made them all quiet and Agnes looked quite confused. She didn't know what game I was playing. Even I did not know what I was doing at that moment. I just needed to stall to find the right hack.“What are you doing?”Agnes asked me.“Well, I'm laughing. Am I not supposed to laugh at the whole joke that is going on all around?”I asked.“What joke?”She asked.“All I know is
SILAS'S POV “So, this is the void?”I asked the truth seeker as I stared at the endless space of nothingness around me.“Welcome to the void.”He said to me as he spread out his arms. I still was a bit confused.“What do I do from here?”I asked.“Me? I'm done with my assignment. My assignment was to make this journey easier for you by facing the truth. Now that you have faced the truth, my work is now done. I wish you success in your quest.”He said to me and disappeared quickly before I could even protest.“Great! Now, I'm stuck here.”I said, staring around with no idea of what to do at all. I looked all around trying to look for clues, but everything stayed the same. There was nothing that I saw that was different.“I need to keep going anyway. I need to do something.”I said to myself as I moved on. I just kept walking in the endless void. What am I supposed to be doing here in the first place? I am supposed to find a way to separate every parts of me and find a way to master ho
SARA'S POV “I will never let anything happen to you. Not Silas, not the Luna or anyone else. I'm here for you all the way.”I was saying to my own father as I looked at him. I can't believe that I almost absconded with Silas a few weeks ago because I was upset with him. What if something worse had happened to him when we left? Why if Silas was not there to protect him because I was just selfish and wanted him all to myself?“I'm sorry, father. I'm sorry for trying to run away. I don't know what I was thinking.”I said, crying to him. Now to think of it, how much can I even trust Silas? Is that why he changed his behaviour towards me when he first found out that I'm his sister? Or am I just truly imagining things? Is he really my own half brother? If that is true, it has got to be very sickening and any feelings I have for him my be dropped now.“No! He can't be my brother.”I said, decisively. I have really fallen for him too much to believe that he may actually even be my brother. I
SARA'S POV Silas has been gone for two days and all I could do was stay by father's side. The report of his health was still the same. He was still steadily improving, but he didn't show any signs yet. I barely ate and slept because of how worried I was of my father. Yet, all what the Luna did was to handle all the affairs of the Moon Pack kingdom without letting father's subjects know about his condition. Many of them had no reason to suspect anything because this is not the first time she was acting on the behalf of father, so they saw it as one of those days. The Luna had only visited father once, and just for a few minutes and returned back to her chambers instructing them to inform her if there was a change in situation with him.“You are aware that people handle grief differently, right?”Gaius, the head physician mentioned to me after he must have noticed how upset I must have looked at her. I did not respond to him, but just managed to smile. He has no idea of who my mother i
SILAS'S POV The cooling sensation of water woke me up as it splashed on me violently. I woke up, coughing and gasping for air. I looked around me. I was still at the springs of Zadia. I remembered a few things that happened just before I got knocked out cold. I had just seen my brother, Saul. He had gotten out of the forest of Koda and he deemed it fit to pay me a visit.I looked around me. I was tied up to a stake. I struggled a bit, but the effect of the drug was still there. I was not in my full strength at that time. It still a struggle for me to break free from this rope.“Saul!”I called out after him. I got no response.“Where are you?”I insisted, but there was no response. I tried struggling out of it again, but it was too secure for me.“What the fuck do you want from me?”I cried out, frustrated. I began to hear movements from behind my back. I could not fully look behind me, so I did not see him.“Look brother, we can talk about this. Let's talk about this.”I tried to ta
SILAS'S POV For the first time, my eyes glowed like that of a potential Alpha. My chains had snapped open and I turned to a wolf and howled loudly in the forest. Then, Cole came out and clapped his hands followed by the thousand others that went away to see if I could break open the chains.“You see? Now, was that so hard to do?”Cole asked. I did not let him know that it was the first time that my eyes glowed like that of a potential Alpha. I just walked away from him, saying.“Just stay out of my way. I don't want to every see you around again. I know who I am and I am not what you or any stupid book tell or foresee about me at all.”I said to him. It was like a miracle that I still very much kept my cool and did not make anyone drop dead. It looked a bit disappointing to them, but they had to let go.“Come back to us any time and any day. Defeat the nemesis and come back for your army and destiny.”Cole shouted after me. I was still within the earshot range of a super hearing wolf
