Chapter Fifty: Joke's on you

SILAS'S POV

I was gagged and led out of the dungeon in chains like a hardened criminal. It has been over five days since I have seen the sun and it beat me quite hard and almost blinded my eyes for a minute.

Not long after, I was moving towards the main square. The big silver axe has already been sharpened and was lying there, in anticipation of my execution. The entire square was silent as I walked through. I could feel that everyone felt pity for me. Many did not seem to believe that I was involved with Alex, but no one had the courage to protest at all.

After what seemed like eternity, I stood before the large axe and the executioner. My father was to give a speech, but he has not been there yet, so we had to wait. It was awkward waiting there. I suddenly needed to pee, but it was not as if I could ask for a moment alone to excuse myself and pee. To them, it was only a matter of minutes before I would be killed.

I looked around and my eyes scanned the entire crowd to look for Ale
