Chapter 17~ Valerie's POV

On the following day, I got dressed as early as possible because the plans of seeing my mother last night were shifted due to the event that took place.

So I left my apartment and waited outside as I had ordered an Uber before I stepped out, to enable me to meet up with my time at work.

Swiftly, without standing for too long, my ride arrived as I hopped in without thinking twice. While I was in the car, I tried checking if the driver was a female or a male, and thanking my stars, a woman was my driver.

Instantly I told her the name of the hospital I was going to and she started the car engine and drove off.

After, some minutes into the drive, the driver, arrived at the hospital and I was so delighted that I tipped her an extra as she made my journey a pleasant one.

And so, I turned my back to her as I headed into the hospital.
