After several hours in the office, I got done for the day, as I packed the files in my desk and headed out with my bag carried in my hand.

Standing outside the company, I bid goodbye to my colleagues as I waited for a taxi to stop for me.

Seconds turned into minutes and minutes into hours as no taxi stopped to carry me.

I thought to myself, "Would I have to sleep outside tonight?"

But as my deep thoughts were still on, suddenly I heard a screech from a car, the noise brought me back to the present as a loud voice followed it.

"Miss, are you going?" The man asked, bringing his head outside his car's window.

Swiftly I responded, "Yes I am," running to where his car was parked.

Reaching there I said before I entered, "Are you a taxi driver, or an Uber driver,"

Due to my silly question the man gave stares in disgust as he responded, "Do I look like a philanthropist that would carry you for free? Are you entering the car or what,"
