CHAPTER 28: THE PLAN

QUINN’S POV

I OPENED THE envelop he gave me, habang nakaupo ako sa sofa ay sinuri ko ang mga larawan na nasa loob. As I was scanning each photo, I was glancing at him. Iilan ay hindi familiar sa akin. Habang paubos nang paubos ang mga larawan ay mas nagiging malapit sa buhay ni Denver ang sumunod.

“Do you have a hint? Whoever wants to kill you?” I put all the pictures down. Pinaghiwa-hiwalay iyun sa ibabaw ng lamesa tulad ng gusto nitong mangyari. “Kasi hindi ko talaga mawari kung bakit naman yun gagawin ng iyong pamilya? May alam ka ba na dahilan?”

He is sitting just in front of me. His legs are apart while his both elbows are resting on his knees. Palms are clasped together and show me cold, dark emotions. He looks so superior in his aura.

“I wish I know what might be the reason.” He chuckled in mockery but I know behind that sarcasm is a pain and bitterness he is trying to hide. “Sad to say but I have no clue at all, Quinn.”

“You must have at least a small probability of a hint.”
