I slept cuddled up in Elijah's arms, drowning in the warmth he provided.

Being in his arms was something special, it felt like it was straight out of a fantasy book.

His warm, scarred and tattoo covered skin engulfed me, and I wanted to be nowhere else but here next to him.

I snuggled his chest more, unable to fall asleep after what he told me.

The images of young Elijah kept playing in my head. I could almost heart the pain filled crys he must have let out.

I could almost see the amount of tears that might have escaped his eyes and washed his cheeks.

I could almost feel the deep resentment that had taken a deep root into his young soul and had refused to leave.

All the anger and rage in him now made sense. I understood the looks that always swarmed his eyes.

I remembered how awful he used to be, and how much he used to scare me with his mere presence. I realized that all of the hate he had harbored was not unfound. And all of the distrust in him was justified.
