Elijah Smith...I stood in the walk in closet, struggling to tie my tie.Doctor Morgan came last night to check my wounds. Just like I'd suspected, there wasn't a heavy damage done to my right hand and my face. But that didn't mean it wouldn't give me a hard time until it heals.Doctor Morgan had to give me some stitches for the wound in the right side of my head.As for the hand, Doctor Morgan advices me not to use my right hand much, but of course I didn't listen.Cane was not happy with the little surprise I'd left for him in the basement while he was out chasing information about his twin brother's whereabouts.Cane didn't want to clean up my mess after staying up almost the entire night, so I had to help him clean the basement up, which made the pain in my right hand a lot worse. If I am being completely honest, I didn't want to go to the dinner party. It was the last thing I wanted to do.But I knew I couldn't miss out, especially not when Dante is throwing the party to try
The ride to the Vila Dante rented was exhausting. I made sure to keep my eyes to myself the entire ride, not glancing towards my wife even once.I didn't like how I almost reached out for her multiple time through out the ride.Cane, who I should never let drive again, sped through the dark roads as if there were cops chasing after us.Nonetheless, we got there in time as the rest of the people invited to join the party came.I stepped out of the car and waited for Ella the hop out before I offered her my arm.The only reason I offered her my arm was because we needed to show a strong and untied front so others wouldn't try to attack me through her, it was not because I wanted her to be close to me... Or at least it was what I told myself.I kept my expression still as Ella slowly slid her hand through my left arm.Cane drove off to park the car and wait for us near by, while the two of us made out way inside. The second we walked in, I could feel eyes on us.The sudden marriage betwe
Ella Williamson...Elijah's hand felt warm. I wanted to be uncomfortable with his touch, but I couldn't.Even though I was very upset that Elijah forbade me from going after my sister, I slightly liked the fact that he didn't let go of my hand.I didn't know why I was having this sort of reaction to him, so I chocked it up to wanting to feel safe.Compared to the people who were constantly staring our way, I preferred to hide behind Elijah.Stepping closer to him provided some coverage from half of the room.Elijah's shoulders tensed, making me glance up at him to see if something was wrong,Elijah was looking forward with his jaw clenched and his eyes spitting fire. I following his gaze only to see Detective Kevin and another man walking in through the front door. The second they stepped in to the room, the entire atmosphere changed. The conversations that were blossoming amongst the people died as eyes turned to the two men.Detective Kevin and the other man looked completely una
Elijah Smith...I stood a few steps away from Dante and the two detectives, watching them as a hawk.Dante trusts me with his safety just as I trust him with mine. Even though the detectives might not do anything, it would be nice of me to have his back.It would be even more wonderful if I could join the conversation Dante was entertaining with Piglet number one and Piglet number two, but I was too concentrated on the earbud I had in my left ear.I tapped my right feet with annoyance.Did Ella actually think I wouldn't notice her not following me?The woman might be scared of me, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't risk it once in a while to do what she really wanted to do.She had done it twice before, once when we were at the Williamson's Mansion for the engagement party, and once when she quite literally snuck out of the house all on her own.I wanted to turn around and startle the life out of her, but I also wanted to know where her destination would be.Just as I expected, th
Ella Williamson...Tears were burning my eyes as I looked up at Elijah. His gaze should have scared me, but the shock in my body wouldn't let me.I pressed my lips in to a tight line to stop myself from crying.I couldn't care less for the threat Elijah made. He could lock me up in a room for all I cared. The small conversation I had with Elizabeth was constantly echoing in my head. It wasn't even a proper conversation. My sister didn't even let me get a word in as she pressed me to tell her what Elijah was doing to me.At first, I didn't want to tell her anything about the life I was leading with Elijah because I didn't want her to worry. But the more she asked me, the more I didn't want to tell her anything. Her anger towards me was so unfounded that I couldn't understand it.What had happened to her?I didn't know what the other wives were telling her, but Elizabeth looked like she was close to losing her mind. But the second she laid her hands on me, the second she slapped me
I had a surprisingly decent night. After Cane showed me the way to the garden, I'd stayed there for about an hour. The garden was magical. I've been watching it through the window in the open kitchen and I'd thought it was beautiful. But that view made no justice to beauty of the garden. The circular sitting area in the middle of the garden was straight out of a fantasy book. It was surrounded with different colored flowers and small light, which made it a delight to sit around. The garden was so refreshing that it made me want to sit there the entire night. But knowing how I was warned, not once but twice, to not walk around the Mansion by myself at night, I had to go back in to the Mansion and really call it a day. But, I'd promised myself that I would come back the next day, which was what I'd planned to do the second I woke up.Elijah wasn't in bed, as always. I took a quick shower, tied my hair at the top of my head, dressed in the usual most covering clothes I had including a
Elijah Smith...I looked through the statements of the previous month of Smooth Smith, but my mind was still back at home.I couldn't stop thinking about the delivery that came to the Mansion early this morning.I always check all the packages sent to my house, which meant that I had to check the large box as well. When I realized that it was sent from the Williamson's Mansion to Ella, I couldn't say that I wasn't intrigued. But after opening the box and seeing the ruined paintings, I was confused. One of things I noticed was that there was a small curvy signature at the bottom left of each painting that spelled out Ella's name in an artistic way.I couldn't focus much on the paintings like I'd wanted to. Instead, my entire focus was drawn to the slashes made on each of the paintings. It made me wonder why they would send Ella her things when they were already ruined, or if they send it to her on purpose just to hurt her.Either one pissed me off and it made me want to get to the
I left Ella in the sitting room, hoping I would talk to her after I dealt with Cilvia.I walked in to my study and found Cilvia sitting in my chair behind my desk.I was sure she could see the muscle under my right eye twitch.I walked over to the tall table holding a few bottles of liquor and fixed myself a drink."Why is Connor here at this hour?" She asked. It wasn't like Cilvia didn't know his name was Cane. She just didn't want to call him by his name for whatever reason."He lives here." I replied before I turned around and walked over to her."What do you mean he lives here?" She asked with wide eyes.Instead of giving her an answer, I silently grabbed her by her left forearm and pulled her off of my seat, not because I wanted to sit down but because it was mine.Cilvia snatched her forearm out of my hand and glared at me when I walked past the chair and stood in front of the window.I looked down at the garden, remembering how beautiful Ella looked when she was sitting in the
