The ride to the Vila Dante rented was exhausting. I made sure to keep my eyes to myself the entire ride, not glancing towards my wife even once.

I didn't like how I almost reached out for her multiple time through out the ride.

Cane, who I should never let drive again, sped through the dark roads as if there were cops chasing after us.

Nonetheless, we got there in time as the rest of the people invited to join the party came.

I stepped out of the car and waited for Ella the hop out before I offered her my arm.

The only reason I offered her my arm was because we needed to show a strong and untied front so others wouldn't try to attack me through her, it was not because I wanted her to be close to me... Or at least it was what I told myself.

I kept my expression still as Ella slowly slid her hand through my left arm.

Cane drove off to park the car and wait for us near by, while the two of us made out way inside.
