Someone has been having sex in Aurora Ashgrooves, lake Travis cottage, while she's been away in Italy on vacation.
Aurora suspect's that person to be non other than her 'man whoring' brother, Angel Ashgroove.
And I am privileged to know this information first hand because Aurora and I are really close friends, also cause I'm currently outside her terminal waiting to pick her up from the airport so she can catch Angel red handed.
Aurora comes from serious money, her father is billionaire Ryle Ashgroove. And Ryle is one of the most richest men in Texas, while his son: Aaron, follows close behind him as one of the richest men in the country.
While Archer and Angel are more so celebrities.
Ryle likes to keep his four children close, especially after the mysterious passing of his wife. Which is why he personally hired assistants for all of them. These assistants make sure that when Daddy Ryle comes calling, all four of his children go running.
Whether it's a skiing trip to Aspen, vacation in Huawei or family Dinner in Dallas, the assistants make sure they are all present.
These assistants also like to gossip, so when Aurora went vacationing in Cortina d'Ampezzo her personal assistant Kendra, told her that one of Auroras brothers assistant said that a certain brother of hers was using her Cabin to host his super model girlfriend.
Kendra couldn't really say what brother's assistant in particular had told her this information: Because of assistant confidentiality ,but aurora instantly suspected it to be Angel whom was having sex in her getaway home.
She had told me as much when she'd first called to inform me, after Kendra had told her.
"Angel has the guts to bring some skank to my cottage, he is so dead when daddy finds out he's fucking another model!" Aurora had declared furiously over the phone.
Something else to note is that Ryle Ashgroove absolutely disapproves of his children dating models of any kind, ever since Angels last high profile Victoria secret model girlfriend had leaked their sex tapes on Twitter, after pictures of Angel cheating on her with another Victoria secret model appeared in the tabloids.
Aurora had been making plans, while in Italy, to come back to the States unannounced. So she can catch Angel and said model in the most compromising position. Take pictures and send it to her father.
Unannounced meaning that no one, not even Kendra could know she would be in the country.
Aurora was afraid that if Kendra somehow found out she was making plans to expose Angel, he would most likely get word of it.
And Ralph, who is Angels assistant would most likely warn himl before hand, and that would completely defeat all her plans.
However a downside of Aurora coming back so abruptly; especially since she plans to keep it a secret, is that she can not fly in on one of her father's private jet. A luxury she has been used to all her life.
So early this morning Aurora had taken the last available flight from Italy to Dallas, unfortunately the last available flight was in Economy.
And economy happens to be one of Auroras pet peeves.
I sigh for what might just be the hundredth time. The airport is pretty crowded, but it's not that I fear I won't easyily spot her. After all Aurora is 4 inches taller than my 5 foot 7 frame, plus she's a platinum blonde so it'll be easy to pick her out from this crowd.
I just have a lot of things I need to do after wards, and I kind of hope me driving her lake Travis doesn't clash with my prorities.
I spot Aurora before I can finish my train of thoughts, looking like she just spent a day at one of her father's ranches, instead of being cooped up in an 11 hour flight.
She is wearing a long beige knee length sweater,
mini denim skirt, and ankle length cow boy boots
Her Gucci purse is on one hand, while she rolls her suitcase with the other hand.
Even looking as casual as she is now Aurora is simply gorgeous.
She could easily decide to become a model, if she ever got tired of spending her father's money.
"Hey girl!" she croons as we embrace tightly. "I've missed you."
"Me too... How was your flight?"
"Please don't ask." Aurora says sounding exasperated.
We take her luggage to my car, and dump it into the trunck.
Inside the car Aurora begins to go over the plan.
"We'll drive in from the main entrance, park really far away from my yard, and go in through the front door. It's a good thing I carried my spare key instead of keeping it with Kendra." She sighs in relief. "So as soon as we get in you'll start recording_"
"Me!" I exclaim. I thought I was just suppose to drop her off, and maybe stand back for moral support.
She pouts."C'mon Yasmine, I really need you to record the whole thing. What if Angel and I get into it? He might snatch my phone."
I throw her a cautious look, wondering what the hell "getting into it" entails.
"Please, for me..." More pouting from Aurora and I finally relent.
I sigh wondering how long all this is gonna take, my schedule is pretty tight. I leave for New York early tomorrow morning ,I didn't even get to finish filming a video for my YouTube channel before meeting up with Aurora.
And I need to upload that video as soon as possible.
Not to add that I also missed another session with my therapist Ivvone.
Ah!
"How are you even certain Angel's the one in your apartment?" I ask. "You said it yourself that your other brother Acher was getting his condo renovated, what if it's him?"
She scoffs. "Archer would rather jump into acid than take a girl to my cabin, he never let's us know who he's seeing. Angel is just immature enough to do something like this, you know how he is."
No, I actually dont know how he is. The only thing I knew about any of her brothers are crumps of information I've gathered from Aurora over the years of being her friend. And some scandals they've been associated with while reading gossip magazines or the tabloids.
The Ashgroove siblings Archer and Angel are both celebrities. Angel is a pretty famous Oscar nominated actor and Archer plays hockey for the Dallas Eagles.
And While Aaron is just a simple businessman following in his father's footsteps he's a celebrities in his own right, so trying to escape them might be near impossible. They are always doing something that will land them as the major topic for some gossip blog or magazine.
I cringe internally. I can't believe the first time I'll be meeting one of the infamous Ashgroove brothers Will be in such a manner.
I should have worn a wig, I lament running a nervous hand through my afro. My hair is not giving today, it has decided to do it's own thing despite my efforts at 'styling it'.
I can't wait to get it braided in New York.
"This had better be quick, I can't miss my flight." I warn her.
"It will be quick, I promise. And by the way I'm so excited that you finally get to do this interview for The New York Times. Congratulations."
I beam. "Thank you."
I am also ecstatic and nervous. I just hit fourteen-million YouTube subscribers, an achievement I never thought I would accomplish when I first started making movie review videos all those years ago.
All those dark years ago... I push the thought out of my mind, now is not the time to be thinking about such things.
I try to remain positive considering that I have defeated all the odds, despite what my mother had predicted my life would be like. And I deserve this opportunity of having a segment written about me in one of the countries most prestigious pappers, no matter what my subconscious is saying-I deserve this.
We drive for about 3hours before we get to Lake Travis.
Aurora points out where best to park my car, before heading up to her cabin.
I get my iPhone out my pocket as she instructs me to start filming.
And since I'm a sucker for interior design, I can't help but take not of how beautiful this cottage is
The interior inside of the living room is simply exquisite. I stop and gawk at it a little, the ceilings are higher than what I'd expect in a regular lodge, the furniture looks imported and expensive, the flooring is probably one of the best wood-work I have ever seen.
Man, this place is even nicer than my Apartment! I muse to myself.
There's soft music coming from upstairs, I hear feminine laughter as well. I make sure to record all the little details; from the heels lying by the rug,to a piece of clothing that appears to be panties-Aurora wrinkles her face as she spots them- I capture her reaction too. I also zoom in on an expensive looking watch, a very expensive looking Rolex.
Auroras seems to pale at the sight of the watch, she picks it up, studies it and her expression goes from confused to shaken.
She's looking at the watch like she wasn't expecting it to be here.
She whispers something to unintelligible.
"What's up?"
My question startles her, it seems like for a minute she forgot I was here. She throws a nervous glace upstairs.
"The kitchen is by your left, please go there."
"You want me to stop recording?" I ask, confused.
She doesn't answer me, insteads she dashes for the stairs.
"What are you doing?" I am so perplexed.
She doesn't even turn to answer me, just continues up the stairs and out of view. Leaving me with no other option than to go into the kitchen.
And if I had thought the living room was grand, the kitchen is out of this world. it's got a waterfall counter top, and the horizontal bars of the pendant lights artfully align with the brass trim on the cabinetry behind it.
No way! is that a La Cornue's Château model stove! I bet Aurora has never even cooked with it before.
Well if the kitchens got expensive decor, it probably also has some exorbitant snacks.
I open some drawer that looks like it has food inside, jackpot! There's all kinds of foreign snacks here. As a self acclaimed foodie I help myself to what seems to be the french version of Oroes.
And boy... does it taste good!
I decide to get a drink from the refrigerator, and just when I'm deciding between a coconut or pineapple juice, I feel a presence behind me.
it's an unmistakable feeling that proves to be true because when I turn around I find a very attractive man watching me from the kitchen door.
No.Point of correction glaring at me from the kitchen door.
His mouth is in a hard line, while he shoots daggers at me with his gray eyes.
For a second I think I'm imagining his reaction, until he takes a menacing step towards me.
"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"
For a second I'm frozen. I mean what are you supposed to do when a man that looks like he could be a model for freaking Ralph Lauren, is looking at you like he wishes you would wilther.I imagine how bad this must look to him, some random black woman is in his sister's kitchen, taking her snacks and rummaging through her refrigerator. That should be enough to startle anyone. But this man doesn't look startled, he looks upset. Like we have personal beef. Like he wants to rip my head off.But I don't know him. You can't meet a man like him and not remember, he's simply too stunning.Even though he's wearing sweatpants he still has this powerful air around him, it doesn't help that the white wifebeater he's got on reveales bulging, muscular biceps decorated with tattoos. I can't help but ogle him. He's got gray coloured eyes, full lips, the most prominent cheekbones I've ever seen on a man, and his strawberry blonde hair stops just below his chin, drawing emphasize to how chiseled his ja
It is in New York city I get recognized the most. My plane touched down a day before yesterday, and from that point to now I've had more than a dozen of my subscribers approach me. Some of them want to chat on their opinions on some movies I've reviewed in the past, the majority of them just want autographs, which is always the most shocking part. That people actually want my autograph, like I'm some celebrity.I didn't really imagine this would be my life when I first started YouTube. I was just a very angry, very bittered, and an extremely depressed teenagerwho had too much knowledge on what made a movie either good or bad. Courtesy of my late grandma. At first I had started off by writing Critical pieces, online, then I had slowly shifted into YouTube after several of my readers suggested I do. My channel remained relatively unknown.Until a very popular movie critic on the platform reacted to a video of mine, after praising me for having such an observant eye, that video pushed m
It takes me more than a second to gather my bearings; so apparently Aaron has just saved me from having alcohol poured all over me, and he still has his hands on my shoulders while he peers deeply into my eyes."Are you alright?"I'm tongue tied, hyper aware that literally everyone that saw a drink get thrown at me is starring at us. I nod my head, yes, to tell him I'm okay. But he still holds onto me. And I don't think I want him to let go just yet.His presence is far too intoxicating, his eyes too mesmerizing, his scent too mouth-wathering.My hands on his chest are clutching his extremely soft t-shirt, and beneath the mushy material I can feel his hard body all around me.It's almost like I'm in some type of trance, a trance that breaks when Aaron looks past me, his eyes suddenly going cold.Gently he moves me to the side, next thing I know he's standing face to face with my harasser, who instinctively shrinks back.He actually has to look up to meet Aaron's harsh face."I see yo
I am going to cry. My eyes are welling up with tears, and if I blink, just once- they are going to fall. This is too much eventfullness for one night. I want to call my therapist so bad, but Sunday's her only day off in the week and I can't be that selfish as to disrupt it.There is still a long line at The Basements entrance. When I had come out at first; walking as if the devil himself was trailing me, the people in line had looked at me like I was running mad.ironic how it seems that everyone wants to get in, but I desperately want out."Finally we found you." I've concluded that the universe must be playing some sick game on me. Simple.Because there is no logical way in hell, Aaron has just been announced as the president of ITENS.I want to pinch myself to ensure I'm not hallucinating, but I'm too stunned to move.Aaron shakes hands with the man who made his announcement, and everyone sits back down. Libby, who up until this point had been staring intently at me, scoots closer to me and Hannah."Am I tripping? Cause what the fuck! He's president?"Hannah nods. "Chica I'm literally thinking the same thing.""Thank you so much Jamie," Aaron starts. "Good morning y'all, I want to start by saying it's a pleasure to be having this meeting. I want to announce that my company has recently purchased ownership of this agency, which makes me your new president. Tiana could you please stand up."I watch as a pretty, tall, blonde-haired lady gets up from her seat. She smiles brightly, with perfect teeth, as she waves at the room."Tiana here will be
The first time I hallucinated was in the 11th grade, I was sick and at home while my mother and sister -lilly- had gone to los Angeles for a cereal commercial lilly was staring in. Mom had stopped taking me along anytime she'd travelled once I turned 15. It never felt like she'd ever wanted to in the first place. Lilly was the star of the family, while I was the awkward elder sister always hovering over her shine. " Hovering over her shine" was a sentiment my mother reiterated. So once I'd gotten old enough for my mother to not get judged too harshly for leaving me behind, she'd stopped taking me.So there I was, home alone: Burning up with a re-occuring fever. And the only super vision I got was a nurse that stopped by twice in the day, and my grandmother who made sure to call me every chance she could, grandma was sick herself so she couldn't really travel all the way from Texas to see me- I was laying in bed when I'd heard it. A distance sound from my window. It sounded like foot
"I fucking hate men!" Libby tells us for the tenth time tonight as we peer down from the balcony of Melany's luxurious duplex. She takes another swig from her Budweiser and grimaces, just as Hannah snatches the bottle from her hands."Hey-" she protests drunkenly."That's enough for tonight, don't want you jumping off this balcony." Hannah says.Libby runs her hand through her already disheveled looking wig, I can't help but notice how disoriented she looks.Love will do that to you, especially the kind of love she has with Devon."That fucking asshole," she cries. "Who the fuck lies about their sick grand mother just so they can go get some ass. Why couldn't I just have been gay"Aria, Hannah's of and on girlfriend, nearly spits her drink out as she starts laughing."If you think dating men is hard try dating a woman." She says."Trust me Aria nothing is worse than dating men." I tell her.If reincarnation is real I must have done something absolutely terrible in my last life because
I heard him say the words, saw them fall out of his lips but I just can't seem to register them. "My jet crashed...""Yasmine?"I snap out of my train of thought. "Oh my God, how did it happen?."He sighs. "Investigations are still ongoing, but we suspect fowl play. It happened on my way there, some things over at the company in Colombia were already sketchy. Sales not being accounted for properly, dealings with some interesting people. My father asked me to look into it personally so I had to go, and then..."He closes his eyes shut and draws a long breath. I can tell thinking about it is hurting him."I'm so sorry that happened to you." "Do you have an appointment?" It's the receptionist from last time, she's arching one perfectly lined brow in question.I swear I can hear my heart pounding in my chest. This was a bad idea...The last time I'd been here with Alec I hand't really paid her much attention. it was a breeze in breeze out thing. Now I'm forced to stand under her professional, but scrutinizing stare."No I don't, but if you can just call him and tell him it's Yasmine-""Mr Ashgroove asked not to be disturbed as he's about to head out. I can't interrupt him. But I could get his secretary on the line,If you could just take a seat." She gestures to one of the steele benches in the waiting area.It hadn't been here the last time I came.I tell her thank you and do as she says. This was a terrible idea. I should have just gone home.I start mentally berating myself, I don't hear Alec the first time he says hello until he taps me slightly on the shoulder."Good afternoon Ms-.""Alec!" I say as I get to my feet, I
Daniel Alberto, light skin Danny, with curly hair and light brown eyes. He was the only other kid of color in my class, his family had owned one of the biggest food chains in Cuba, before they sold the business and moved to the USA when he was just a baby. They'd been trying to escape from the cartel his grandfather did business with and owed a lot of money to.He'd tell me all this on the third day of rehearsal for our school play, as he handed me a chocolate bar from his backpack."We live pretty close by, you know." He had said. And boy did I know. Unbeknownst to him, I knew things about him that were not normal to know about a complete stranger. I knew his father played golf in thesame country club my father used to go to. I knew he was an only child, I knew his favorite color was blue, I knew he was good at English but sucked at maths. I also knew that someday he was going to be mine.I was obsessed with Daniel Alberto looking back now after all this years I set myself up for fa
Aurora's emergency is in the executive suite of a five star hotel, all the way in Austin. When she'd given me her location, without any further explanation on what kind of trouble she was in, she'd done everything in her power to evade answering any of my questions. When I'd first checked in with the receptionist at the front desk, her reassuring nature and smile as she phoned the room for confirmation, before directing me inside was my first clue that this wasn't anything serious. My second clue was Auroras personal assistant Kendra, engaged in conversation with someone outside the suite door. If really this was anything serious, Aurora would never have Kendra with her.Because news would quickly get to her father through Kendra.Kendra spotted me, and with a smile on her plump face she waves at me. "Yasmine, good to see you.""Thank you." I say, looking over at the woman she was with. "Is Aurora ok?""Oh yes she's fine, you just missed lunch. It was some delicious shrimps."Lunch?
