Avery’s POV

We began our journey later that afternoon. Kane led us to his private plane, and I was taken aback. I didn't expect our destination to be so far as to require a plane, but Kane explained that Lord Gregory lived in a town called Valoria, which was in the southern part of the north.

The north was split into several regions with their own lords. These regions were previously packs that Kane conquered and claimed under his rule. And these people called lords were their former Alphas.

Kane had claimed their land, so that the creatures of magic that were being hunted for their powers would finally have a safe haven to live out their lives without being attacked and slaughtered by the werewolves.
