Avery’s POV The intensity and emotion in James’s words hit me with a force that I didn’t expect. Tears streamed down my face, blurring the ink on the paper. He was really sorry for the past, and I knew that he was truly being sincere. But wasn’t it a little too late for us now? Avery’s POV Kane turned me to face him. “Stay here, Avery and you’ll be safe. I won’t take long just wait for me.” He said, getting ready to chase down the intruders. “What?!
