Later that day, on the way home, Tasha was mainly oblivious to my depressed mood, so she was happily looking out the carriage window. On the other hand, Tom could tell that something was weighing heavily on my mind, "Sash, what's got you so upset?" "It's nothing important..." "Please tell me. I might be able to help in some way." "Please just leave it for once. It's nothing you can help me with. I can handle it on my own anyway." "How can you be so sure I can't help if you don't tell me the problem?" "Just trust me, you can't help me with this, so just drop it." After I said that, I could feel the carriage coming to a stop, so I got out before Tom had a chance to say anything else on the matter, "I'll see you inside." As I walked into the estate, Tom followed shortly behind me while the carriage driver took Tasha back home. Tom sped up, caught up to me, and stopped me, "Sash, can you please tell me? I just want to help you." I felt guilty that I couldn't tell him, "We should b
Everyone in the room looked at me, confused, when they heard I was a new member. A girl in the group got up out of her chair and walked over to me, and looked me in the eyes. She looked similar to Crimson with the same yellow eyes but much lighter brown hair, "So you're my famous cousin I've heard so much about?" I was thrown off guard by what she said, "Cousin? What are you talking about?" "I should introduce myself first. I'm the eldest daughter of Count Famious, Kat Famious. I'm guessing you don't know, but your Mother is from the Famious family. My Father is your Mother's older brother, which means we're cousins." "I didn't know that." "I guessed as much. I'm glad to meet you. Garry has been telling us about how he was trying to get someone new to join the student council; I guess that was you." I smiled uncomfortably, "Yes, I guess so." "Can I ask, is it true you've been able to take on your full form since you were born?" Garry stepped in, "You should get to know everyone
My time at school dragged on like it did in my previous life. 6 years had dragged by since I started, and I was 13 before I knew it. When I woke up for school, I went to my dresser and had one of the maids fix my hair like they do every morning. As the maid brushed my hair, one of the other maids laid out my uniform on my bed read. When she finished my hair, I turned to my bed. I saw a new piece of clothing with my uniform I hadn't seen before. It looked like a short fabric band with shoulder straps. Confused by what I was looking at, I asked one of the maids, "What's that?" "What, miss?" I walked over, picked up the item, and held it out to her, "This, what is it?" "Oh, the Duchess informed us that you should start wearing this now. She said you're at that age where you need to wear this to support your chest." I felt confused by what she meant, "Support for what exactly?" "For your developing chest, miss." I suddenly realised what she meant and what they wanted me to wear. I
Over the next couple of days, I asked all around the school to see if anyone had seen or knew who the man was that I saw, but no one knew. Then, finally, one day, while I was in class finishing off our assignment for that lesson, a guy walked up to me, "Excuse me, Sasha?" "Yes?" He looked nervous while trying to talk, "We haven't spoken before, but I'm Zeek. We have a couple of classes together." "Ok, was there something you wanted to say?" "Yes, actually. I wanted to know if you wanted to go on a date?" His question completely threw me, "What...?" He paused for a moment before building up the courage to say it again, "I wanted to know if you would go on a date with me?" "That's rather sudden, don't you think? We don't even know each other." "I've liked you for some time now, and your friend told me you would be interested in a date if I asked you." I sighed, "Let me think about it, and I'll let you know after class, ok?" Hearing me say I would think about it made him smile,
We got onto my family carriage and spent a long awkward drive to the market square. On the way there, Zeek tried to make small talk, "So, what do your parents do for work?" "My Mother works on tracking and accounting for all the estate expenses, and my Dad is the king's royal advisor." "Wow, I didn't know your family was so important." "My Dad is a Duke. Not to mention my family has been the right hand of the royal family since there was a royal family. What about you? What do your parents do?" "My Mother works as a chef for a restaurant in the market square, and my Father is a blacksmith who crafts most foundation piece's for enchanted items." "They sound like they work very intensive jobs." "They do. They're almost always tired from working long hours to afford our house." "Is the house you live in that expensive?" "Well, my Mother likes to live a little fancier than most commoners earning the same as my family, so she convinced my Father to move into a slightly bigger house
Over the rest of the day, word spread that I rejected Zeek, but with him biting the bullet and being the first to ask me out, he empowered the rest of the guys in my classes with the courage to start asking me out the next day. The next few days, I had probably over 10 different guys ask me out. Luckily I learned from my mistake of being too soft-hearted with Zeek and turned them all down. The barrage of date offers seemed to have no end in sight. After another couple of days of suffering through it, I started to try and think of a plan to make everyone stop asking me out, 'I'm really getting tired of the constant date invites! I really want them to stop...' I then had the idea to ask someone for advice, 'Maybe I can ask Tom or Dan what to do? No, they're hopeless when it comes to something like this. I can't ask Dad, he'll probably do something impulsive, and I can't ask Mom; she's way too excitable. Don't tell me I can only ask Tasha...' During the lunch break, I sat next to Tash
Thanks to the fact that I knocked Zeek out, word quickly spread that I would knock out anyone who crossed me. This, luckily, led to the guys in my school being too scared to ask me out again, and I had a relatively peaceful time going to school for the next 5 years. I struggled to adjust to school life after Tasha graduated, but I managed to get by. But she still made sure to visit me on my days off; she wouldn't take no for an answer even though I was always busy with assignments and practice. Before I knew it, I was also graduating. Both Walter and Crimson made too much of a big deal of it. When I woke up and went downstairs to the dining room, I found Crimson and Walter waiting. Walter stood up and walked over to me. I felt confused by what was going on since I had forgotten that it was my graduation day, so I asked, "Was there something you wanted to say, Dad?" "I just wanted to congratulate you on graduating today. I'm very proud of you, especially because you're graduating to
Because of how fast I ran to hide, Dan didn't even notice where I went. But, as he looked around, he saw some of my dress sticking out from underneath the table. Dan kneeled down and lifted up the tablecloth to see me sitting on the other side, doing my best not to be noticed, so he asked, "Sash, what are you doing?" "Nothing...I just needed to sit down for a minute..." "Are you hiding from having to talk in front of people?" "No, I'm just not in the mood..." "It's fine to have stage fright." "It's not stage fright. I just don't want to give a speech; I just wanted to come here, try and have a little fun and then leave the moment it was over." "How can you enjoy yourself if you're stuck under the table?" "I don't know...you can bring me cake, that's fun..." "They don't have cake at this event, though." "It's worse than I thought..." Dan reached out his hand to me, "Come on, let's just walk around, I can try and hide you, or we can just leave." I grabbed his hand, "Thanks, a
