KIERA’S POV

I lay motionless on my bed, my eyes wide on the ceiling, watering as I had been in that position for God knows how long. I had been numb ever since, unable to comprehend why anyone’s sister would want them dead. Isn’t blood thicker than water anymore? I desperately wanted this to be a dream, one that would end with me going back to papa, to find Elise and Dahlia sitting on the couch and plotting another way to make my life a living hell. Even though I dreaded that life, I longed for it now. At least I’d be free of the crushing realization that my sister is a monster! Like a tsunami, the pain had been crashing into me ever since.
