MIGUEL’S POV

I was on my way to the warehouse to check on the shipment that was supposed to arrive today when I got a call from Joe.

“We’ve retrieved the diamonds boss,” Joe reported.

My eyes suddenly flew wide, “What? How did you—”

“Tracked down some of Lucas’s relatives. His third cousin let slip that he has a sick mother in Brooke City. It was an easy grab; didn’t take much convincing to get her to hand over the diamonds.” he reported, his voice steady.

“So where are they now?” I asked, straightening myself.

“They’re in the vault boss,” he confirmed.

“Good job, Joe. This calls for a celebration. Now, we can meet with the Russians. I’m on my way to the warehouse to check on the shipment, you could meet me there.” I said, ending the call.

Ugghh! Good news like this never hurts anyone. I don’t know why they’re so difficult to come by. Throwing my head back, I relaxed in the back seat, imagining all the things I could achieve with both the Russians and South Coast cartel by my side, a
