KIERA’S POV

I nervously paced my room, biting my finger as anger simmered. Enough is enough. I was done being the victim, the prey, or whatever Gabriel calls it. Living in fear was no longer an option.

Gabriel had instructed me to stay in my room when we returned, and since then, I hadn’t seen a shadow of either Gabriel or Damien, and I was burning to know what they were doing to the wretch who had abducted me.

Most people say when your head isn’t in the right place, your brain hits snooze. Without thinking twice, I stormed out of my room.

Approaching Gabriel’s door and knocked, but there was no response. I tried Damien’s room next, but it was just as silent.

As if it was planned, Lewis appeared, and we were on the same page—looking for Gabriel.

“Hey, have you seen Gabriel?” I asked, urgency in my voice.

“No, I’m looking for him too,” Lewis replied, pulling out his phone.

He dialed Gabriel’s number, but it went straight to voicemail.
