Third Person's Pov

For someone who doesn't want to attend the party, it was a lot of fun. That night didn't only give Katherine the privilege to have few gulp of wine but also made Derek take her to his room, when she became tipsy.

The ray of the sunlight from the window was what woke Katherine up the next morning but when she reached out beside her, it was empty.

"Where did he go?" She asked herself as she got out of bed. As she dragged herself over to the bathroom to check, a yawn slipped out of her.

She stepped into the vacant bathroom and felt something was off as she splashed water on her face.

She grabbed a towel and wiped her face before looking into the mirror to see eye bags caused by yesterday's drink.

Just as Katherine was about to leave the bathroom, there was a knock at the door. She was so startled she hurried to answer, only to find one of Derek's men standing there.
