Chapter Thirty-Nine

He went out to get more coffee for himself. The coffee machine in the Mail Department was broken so he had to go to the lobby.

When I turned to his direction, he held not only a full cup of coffee but a sealed, packaged bread as well.

He handed it to me and continued, "The receptionists were giving away free bread. They said they were samples from a new business partner. I thought you might like it."

My mouth watered as soon as the packaged treat landed in my hands. It was a soft, round, dark brown bread with powder on top of it. I asked whilst looking at it, "Did they say what flavor this was?"

"They said it was some kind of chocolate bread. The white powder is powdered sugar," he explained.

"Chocolate bread??" I grinned from ear to ear, excitement filling up my body. Chocolate bread has to be one of my favorite snacks. Whoever the new business partner was, I would probably need to ask Mr. Nam because of this certain bread.
