Chapter seventy-two

Katherine's POV

It felt like I was on a cloud. A soft extremely fluffy cloud. I turned slightly to snuggle deeper, sighing in contentment. My hands roved all over the cloudy surface when I encountered a bump.

Immediately, my eyes flew open and I saw the white mattress below me.

Jerking straight up on the bed which was the cloud I had thought I was on- my eyes bounced around the room.

It was completely white, I mean everything in the room was white. The walls were painted white, the tiles were of the same color. It was so disorienting that I instantly felt uncomfortable.

Moving around on the bed, I swung my legs over the surface. That was when I noticed I didn't feel any pain but something was compressing my stomach.

Feeling discomfort the longer I sat up, I flipped up my shirt and looked down.

The lower half of my stomach was covered up in bandages, and my brows creased in confusion.

Bandage?

I tentatively placed a hand on the injured spot, tenderly feeling around. I didn't feel a sin
