He slams a code into the keypad with a triumphant grin.
*BUZZZZ.*
The room suddenly groans. The stone walls, which I thought were solid, begin to slide inward. Slowly.
"Uh, Owen?" I say, my voice rising an octave. "Did your logic just trigger a death trap?"
"It’s a glitch," he says, his eyes wide as he hits the buttons again. "It has to be a glitch. The sequence was perfect!"
"The walls are moving! The sequence was wrong!"
The room is getting smaller by the second. Within a minute, we’re forced into the center of the space. The desk is crushed against the wall, leaving us with only a few square feet of floor.
