The tip pressed to Irina’s cheek. With a shaky breath, she dragged it in a straight, deliberate line. Irina screamed, raw and animal, echoing off the concrete. “Good, blondie… good.” My voice stayed low, guiding. “Now her neck. Both sides. Let it go deeper.” Amber lifted the blade again, tears falling faster. Just as the tip touched her skin, the warehouse door banged open.

She frantically wiped her hands across the front of her shit in a desperate attempt to free herself of the horrible sensation. Two bony hands wrapped around her wrists stopping her from her panicked swiping. Amber looked up into Elly’s pitch-black eyes and screamed. Blood was pouring from her eyes, nose, and ears. Her face was twisted in a silent scream. The terror and anguish it exuded filled Amber until she was screaming and thrashing to get out of Elly’s grip.

She downed it in one swift motion, desperately trying to drown out the pain. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she blinked them away, refusing to let Reece's actions break her spirit.

Even now as he slammed her left wrist on the concrete wall, she leaned forward to try and bite his nose. “No. No.” Salem laughed. “I am not a rookie like Peter,” Salem recalled seeing the video of Amber biting Peter’s nose off when he tried to attach handcuffs.
