Love, Law, and Remarrying
Sheryl Moran and Brandon Simrod had dated for three years, and been married for another three. They were practically inseparable, and Brandon loved Sheryl deeply. He was always gentle and considerate toward her.
Everything changed when Sheryl received an anonymous text. Brandon had cheated. Initially she just thought it was a cruel prank - she never imagined she would witness him holding another woman, kissing her passionately.
In that moment, all the beautiful memories and happiness from the past vanished. Sheryl plunged into despair.
Later, Sheryl followed the instructions in the text message, and successfully gathered evidence of Brandon’s affair. She collected proof of him gifting his mistress a villa, bags, jewelry, and more.
She entrusted the case to the top lawyer in Nexville, Steven Peterson, to represent her in the divorce lawsuit.
When the truth came to light, Brandon desperately pleaded with bloodshot eyes, “Sheryl, I was wrong. I truly love you. Please give me another chance.”
Sheryl was already thoroughly disappointed. “Your love disgusts me. Keep it to yourself.”

Among the elites in Nexville, everyone knew that Steven was a legal heavyweight, and an aloof and untouchable figure.
Sheryl had always thought the same, but he was the person who told her, “I can help you heal. Will you consider it?”
