After three years in prison for leading the drug trade in the North Middlesbrough area, Matthew Smith is granted probation on condition that he cooperates with the police in order to capture Mr K, the city's big-time mafia lord. Before leaving the jail, he heads to the police station where he was going to sign the documents for his parole and the cooperation document between him and the police. However, upon arriving there he comes across Masahiro Payne the man who had imprisoned him and whom he hated.
