I glanced at my wristwatch to see it has almost passed at midnight. Heaving a heavy sigh, I took the headset from my handbag and placed it on my ears then turned the music on with that I began to walk to my so-called home hearing my favourite songs 'love me like you do, lo..lo.. love me like you do.' Somehow I found this song brings the memories of our intimate moments that I and Kayish shared and a shy smile played on my face. I wish he would be fine in the morning. I repeatedly played the song what seemed to be five more times until I reached my home.

“But unlike him, you will love every second of it.” What?

I steel myself for what’s to come. “I have no intention of rejecting you. You are a gift, a second chance mate for me. I don’t turn away gifts from the Moon Goddess,” he says. Finally, he spoke, his voice low and husky, sending shivers down my spine. "Be my lover," he said, his words dropping like a bombshell into the silence. I froze, my body paralyzed with shock. The air seemed to suck out of the room, leaving me gasping. Be his lover? What did that even mean? My eyes searched Julian’s face for answers, but his expression was unreadable. Was he serious? You and our kids are the biggest gifts and accomplishments I'll ever have and if I have to choose again, I'll choose you a hundred times over and I promise to use every second of my breath and time on earth to love, cherish and protect you.
